Just scored this guy a couple of weeks ago...   Voltron is in excellent condition with the working base (which I will never use), the Blazing Sword, the instruction sheet and almost all of the original decals. Despite that, I may end up replacing some due to their having been poorly applied by the original owner. It depends on how cleanly the originals come off and if they can be salvaged. Overall though I am pretty happy with this purchase.. Now if he would just stop staring at me...  |

Nice, another member joins the LJN club!!
I am in the same boat, mine is boxed with instructions, and about half the original stickers are still on the sticker sheet, the rest are on the toy but lightly wrinkled. I've been considering a set of decals from willohio but since mine is still really clean I am not sure.
It is definitely a bonus that you got the sword though!!

Yeah, getting a complete toy (minus box) for relatively cheap made my day.
I'm basically trying to decide if I do change the decals whether to stay with the LJN version or just make a set of the Popy ones and put them on it instead.

Great piece, and I also welcome you to the LJN owners club. I made my own decal sheet for mine. I additionally made a decal plate for the base as well. Will show pics later. Again, great score!!

I just picked one up myself.....both wings and springs attached. I cleaned it, removed all the decals and am ready for the next phase. Might be a bit before mine gets transformed, as I have no talent when it comes to fixing jumbos and am relying on the help of others. Gen1autobot has the nicest LJN Voltron I've ever seen. I hope he posts some detailed pics soon!

Thanks Rod, You comments are appreciated. I will post some pics today just for the sake of your positive remarks. Stand-by fellow LJN'rs Update: These pics didn't turn out so well, but I hope that they are enjoyed. The reds didn't show up as dark as they really are. I used a camera phone to take the pics instead of my regular camera. Was in a hurry to post the pics for you guys. I don't use the base in my display because I don't have the space for it. I really like the way it looks displayed together though. Perhaps I will change up my display in the future to accommodate it. This is one of my favorite jumbos, to say the least. I am also thinking of redesigning the decals that I made to improve the look of the robot dramatically. Once I am done I will post new pics of the upgraded stickers. Thanks again Rod.       |
