KISS the rock band as Transformers would be SO much better(not that i know ANYTHING about the real KISS Transformers, but when i first heard "KISS" and "TRANSFORMERS" in the same line, this is what i was hoping for: Gene Simmons= a Dragon Ace Frehly=a Jet Paul Stanley=a space ship Peter Criss=a panther
does this sound right? or would they be a different vehicle/animal?

i do NOT understand why some ppl hate SWTF? ? i think it is a golden idea! I personally would like to see MORE lines adopted by Transformers: Dukes of Hazard General Lee Knight Rider's KITT Xena: Warrior Robot (transform into a chakra, or something) Star Trek (Klingons, Borgs, and Ferengi! o my!) Red Dwarf Battlestar Galactica BayWatch (some of the rescue boats and jetskis) The Cat from Outerspace(the 1970s Disney movie) Batman(into a Batmobile) Blue Beetle Elektra Woman and Dynagirl ... i mean, the list could go on forever!

I don't hate SWTF. I just don't think that the two flavors mix quite well together. I like a few of the toys (Millennium Falcon, ARC fighter).

Man, I do. I cringe every time I see them. Nothing but a marketing ploy to try and make more crap to sell. I think they look fine as vehicles, but to transform into a semi robotic living character, they just look awkward as robots.

Star Wars and Transformers, each standing alone, represents a rich SF world with awe inspiring designs that have delighted our imagination for decades. But when stitched together all Frankenstein-like into the monstrosities that are the "Star Wars Transformers" toys, each dilutes, if not outright diminishes, the other.

oh, so it is the MIX. i guess since i am a mix(MultiRace), i like things that are mixed. like BraveStarr the cowboy indian. When i was a kid i mixed my legos to have castles with computers and lazers. Grape Kool-Aid mixed with LemonAde is better than the individual flavors. Grits MIXED with Eggs is better than alone. Amalgam comics ROCK, JLX, Amazon, Speed Demon, etc. i personally LOVE hybrids.

Well that makes sense. Granted, the toys are a good idea and there are some real winners made. Just hard for us to get the notion that the two can be combined. It's neither a knock at TFs or at SWs.
PS. When I first heard "Kiss TFs" I also thought they meant Simmons and the gang.

A more appropriate analogy for Star Wars Transformers would have been crossing a monkey and a goat. Ain't gonna be pretty, dude. But generally, mixing stuff up is hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Depends on your taste, I guess.

I don't care for the combing of the two for marketing reasons. I would accept them though if they were well designed. The robot modes look awkward and the heads look even worse.

SW Transformers would have worked bette, if they had Transformer robot modes and Star Wars Alt Modes.
For example: Starscream with a Tie Fighter alt mode.

I always wondered..what if Richard Simmons sang for Kiss "I want To rock and Roll to the oldies ...4 more, and 3 more....I'm a pony, i'm a pony!"

wow, i guess i am the only person that likes SWTF! all i hear about them are complaints. Well, i will go on record as saying i think it is a great idea(of COURSE it is a money-making idea, but that doesn't make it bad.). I prefer the bad-guys, but wouldn't mind a few goodies.

Don't worry, falconhood. I'm sure alot of gradeschoolers like them, too! I KEED! I KEED! ;D But seriously, since toys are SUPPOSED to be for kids anyway (right guys? ), then its great if this stuff appeals to kids.

i dunno. Do these sell well? I don't work at a toy store anymore, so i don't SEE stuff sold. I just know my wal-mart is stuffed with pegs full of these...and Cybertrons. The only thing i know about, is my 7th graders are intensely into Naruto, but i don't know about the toys, just the Manga books.
