05/19/2014 UPDATE:
I did obtain the box variant of the triple change pluto I was looking for!!! Also, the extra maxi-fun boxed version of triple change pluto I had has been sold.
Still looking for info on whether the crane arm Astro and Astro arm cannon (the role play accessory, not the figure) were released or not. See last paragraph of this post/post #2.
-----------------------------------------------------
Hey Guys,
I am one toy away (as far as I know) from finishing my 2004 BanDai Astro Boy collection. I like this line because it reminds me more of the 1980s colorized astro boy anime. I have every figure (micro, standard, deluxe, electronic giant) and the micro playset.
The only toy I am missing is the "Triple Change Pluto" with micro Astro figure.
It is my understanding that this figure possibly did not get released here in the states, and rather was only released in Singapore and Australia. It may have possibly been released in the Philippines and other parts of Asia.
I just bought one on eBay and it came in today, but is the wrong version (same toy, but this one is in the Green MaxiFun box).
I need the blue/purple BanDai box release to match the rest of my collection and I need the one in English packaging.
I paid $30 shipped for the green one. That is what these are generally worth. There are others on eBay but they are at insane prices of like $70-100 shipped.
I can either trade my MaxiFun version with someone for the Bandai version, sell the MaxiFun version to someone here for $30 shipped, or return it within the next seven days to the Singapore seller and lose the shipping money.
Please let me know if you guys can help.
-----------------------------------------------------
I am also trying to figure out if the Astro boy with crane arm figure and the role play Astro Arm Cannon role play toy got released or only made it to the prototype stage. (Blue Bandai 2004 English Language box)
If you have production or final prototype versions of these items, or knowledge of them, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mike
