im a transformer fan so i may be biased on my prediction.
i think the transformer movie will be a hollywood hit and will be followed by mecha movies just like what happened to the marvel movies such as xmen and spiderman.
what do you think guys? do you think it will flop? will the toys sell very well based from the pictures?

Let's not predict... let's make it real by supporting the movie. Then MAYBE those cool things you mention will happen ;D

That would actually be very, very cool.
Imagine movies of Voltes V, or Evangelion, or any of our favorite robot series with Hollywood size budgets. That would rock.
So yeah, I could very well see that happening. The only thing with robot movies is that the special f/x budgets would need to be large, so they probably wouldn't roll out one movie after another, but still, any good robot movies would be great.

Haha, under what rock have you been living? eva.trivialbeing.net/The only thing with robot movies is that the special f/x budgets would need to be large, so they probably wouldn't roll out one movie after another, but still, any good robot movies would be great. Because superhero movies, which are in abundance right now, have no SFX at all.... ;D

oh yeah. i almost forgot the evangelion movie. thanks bleen. these are good years coming to us robot fans.
i wish that eva trailer is official. ive also seen an unofficial grandizer live action movie. (wish someone would post that) im looking forward to the next transformers movie trailer. ;D
as some fans does not like the designs of the transformers. i think this will pave the way for a low quality expectation from the movie. then BAM! michael bay would surprise us with great robot action that would leave us wanting for more. ;D

I'm hoping that seeing this movie in motion may change my mind. Almost the same way seeing Nightcrawler and Beast in photos (I wasn't happy with). But seeing it in motion.. it wasn't too bad. Especially nightcrawler... he exceeded my expectations of what he should be like. But I find it so hard with Transformers, such a icon.. and so much has been lost in the translations. I'm not expecting much.. especially seeing some of the toys now. But who knows hopefully the story line is solid that I may grow to like it when I watch it.

I am also a lifetime TF fan. And my prediction is that we're all going to go see this flick when it's in theatres.

Even if I do not like the movie, I hope its a hit. I do think this could pave way for more giant robot films, which would be great. Oh how I love giant robots.
