I received 1 limited version I ordered at amiami. I re-sell it asap. I do not like the multi textures on this toy : - rubber "skin" on arms and legs, - plastic parts very thin for abdomen, - rubber parts (ankles protections), - fabric for hips joint... IMO, it's more and "action dol"l (Action Joe, big Jim...) than an action figure. I can't stand a mecha with fabric... Maybe the perfect grade eva-01 test type worth better the money for a big EVA on shelf. But I know, a RAH figure is unique and well produced. ;D

those pictures are deceiving the PG eva was one of the worst kits i ever bought, the rubber coating ate away at the plastic causing the stomach rib armor parts to break off it also completely hinders the poseability of the kit. despite being big i sold it off real quick once it started deteriorating on its own without being touched at all.
i do not miss it chris

no sadly it was one of bandai's earliest PG kits and they were clearly still learning there were tons of other flaws as well from the hands being horrible to the bad seam lines but the worst was the rubber suit you had to cut the holes just right, if they were to big you could see them under the armor plating which made the kit look ugly and if to small it was impossible to put the parts on and also rubbed against the plastic caused the pegs to deteriorate and break. To make matters worse one you pulled it over the inner frame which was a absolute chore it completely destroyed any chance of it being poseable, once you bent the arm or leg into the position you wanted the rubber coating would slowly bend back straight into its default position.
In fact dealing with the rubber suit was one of my least favorite things in the last ten year of modeling out of hundreds of kits (i kid you not) from cutting it, to stretching and fitting it, to watching it rub against the plastic parts and deteriorating the plastic pegs and forcing the kit out of the pose you put it in. I am really glad i got rid of the kit, To anyone out there considering buying it, avoid at all costs I found it to be one of my least favorite kits of all time

But it still looks like an upscaled 12 cm figure... You don't have the feeling of a giant skyscraper sized mecha... Panel lines shoulded be thinner and sharped. It's a RAH, not A DX... -> If I didn't have to buy Dx Macross F VF-171EX and RVF-25-messiah, I would have kept this RAH Eva ;D

Cloth on a mecha figure doesn't really bother me if it's used well (like the Ingrams from CM's and Yamato), but I didn't even notice it on this EVA. On the pics, I mean. I never got to see a RAH EVA "in person". Too bad it's not a success on this one. It looked good in pictures. Too expensive for me, though. I'm quite happy with my SOC Specs. Now if Bandai could make that EVA-02, already.

Never heard of this figure, looks great. So youd recco this over the Medicom? Whats articulation like? any diecast? For me I think I prefer the design of the Movie Realization over the Medicom. I like the design more. I feel like the design is something more along the lines of what I would had expected from Riobot vs what they actually did. It has lots of accessories and good articulation. Double jointed knees and elbows. Wrists only swivel though. Arms are capable of a lot of poses though due to the joint designs throughout. Figure can kneel but can not do the iconic kneeling/ running poses. Works best as a standing figure. Detail is good and qc is good. While I am not a huge fan of the armor design, its cool you can swap out parts to make it the armored eva. Its about 8.5" tall to the top of the shoulder blades standing up. Quite a bit taller than a revoltech. Its got some heft to it, but I am not aware of any diecast unless there is some under the plastic armor in the legs. The lower legs were colder than the rest of it when I picked it up, but that does not guarantee there was metal in there. For the price and detail, I am not sure why it was not a more popular figure. There is a post on this forum showing scale of the figures. forum.evageeks.org/post/397510/Eva-Action-Figures-including-Rebuild-1/If you scroll through thise guys photo scream on the right you can see more pics of this figure. www.flickr.com/photos/dedguy/4734819498/www.flickr.com/photos/dedguy/4734172091/in/photostream/

Thanks for the links. I'll check them out. This is a potentially pricey decision for me and I appreciate everyones help. There is a related post in toy discussion when I opened a thread to talk about all best-overall eva-01. Also Medicom is releasing the eva-02 soon. they could be a nice pair to own
