Good morning all, long time listener, first time caller I have two vintage Voltrons (I assume they're both legit???) and need to swap a tail from one to the other. OF course, murphy's law, the one with the good tail had his head snap off. Anyway, I have everything taken apart except for the last screw under the #1 sticker. I can peel the sticker back a little bit, slightly less than half way, to access the screw. My question is this, if I pull that sticker off is there a way to get it back down smooth and flat? Is there some sort of adhesive I can use to get that flat and perfect. Or, better yet, is there a way to swap the tails without removing that sticker? Thanks!!

Use an x-acto or hobby knife to help you peel up the sticker - this will help keep as much adhesive as possible intact. Also use the knife to handle the sticker, if you touch it the adhesive will lose any of its old strength and be tougher to hold down without curling.
The black lion is actually really easy to repair even though it doesn't look like that. Once you open it up you should be pretty comfortable.
Edit - unscrewing that yellow piece off should be enough to remove the tail iirc. Not 100% sure because I don't have any toys here at the office :-).

Thanks! I found out after tearing him apart that I simply could have just unscrewed the yellow piece. Oddly enough I discovered two additional screws floating around inside the body. I have no idea where they came from as everything I took out is accounted for.
I just wish the heads were as easy to fix as everything else is.

What part of your head broke? And am I correct if I assume it is the Taiwan version that broke?

The pieces holding the head on to the body snapped and not a clean break. The broken head is the Taiwan lionbot one, I think. It came with the complete red/green lion figure so I'm not as heartbroken.
My actual Matchbox (?) one is fine, just missing the red plastic piece on the back of the head.
