Identifying vintage green lion help

As mentioned previously I have two Voltron sets that I'm trying to combine to one complete one.

My first Voltron, with all silver stickers and missing green and red heads seems to me that it's the real deal. This is the one I will put a new tail on.

My second one has zero stickers, however, it came with a head on the green and red lions. Coloring on all of them looks pretty close with the exception of the green lion, as evidenced in the two photos below. you can see the non-stickered one is a darker, more solid green.

I would like to just do an easy arm swap, but if it's a knock off then I'd rather leave it where it is and get rid of it. The red lion head is close enough in color that I have no issue putting the head on.





You can't really tell in the photo, but the headless lion has major chrome wear on the legs. It looks to be a very clear plastic (?) on the legs. The darker lion has all it's chrome, for the most part.

The darker one is a Taiwanese Lionbot knock off. If the head came with that lion the head paint will be slightly different than the real one. The real head will be slightly metallic tinted in appearance like the lion with the sticker. The real red lion head will be solid paint but just more vibrant. It sounds like you may have two Lionbot heads.

Also the quality of the tails will be different so you may want to just look for another real junker with a good tail you can grab. They are not that expensive.

Thanks! The red lion head looks good enough on the 'real' Voltron so I'm tempted to keep it. The green, however, was just awful. Back to my search for a true green lion head!

A junk lion with a head will be cheaper than the head itself. Just make sure the head is not broken on the post or the bump for the missile firing mechanism.

Thanks a lot for all the advice, you're awesome! I'm looking on ebay now for some. Found a couple of loose heads, no lions yet that look legit to me.
