So HK company Elyn(sp) Hobby is releasing their representation of the Kshatriya from Gundam Unicorn later this month. It looks fantastic, but the price is kinda insane for me right now. If only I had some more discretionary income I would have preordered this already! DX I wonder though if I just should be patient and wait for Bandai to get offa their rear and release a MG version?? Ah well, here's the kit in question linked below. All snap fit with an internal frame, LEDs and correct-color molded. www.gundamkitscollection.com/2012/11/elyn-hobby-products-1100-kshatriya.html?m=1

If only Bandai would do things in this fashion or offer it like such. All the pieces are pre cut, I am assuming no sprue marking on the parts. While it does take away the fun of cutting parts off the runner, that something I can live with. I am assuming that this kit is like assembling a Lego set, all piece are already prep and only needs to be snapped together. Price is affordable but K'satriya isn't high on my priority. The HGUC version I built is more that sufficient for now. Funny how the HGUC 1/144 towers over them MG 1/100 EW Gundam Wing MS.

Its a great concept with an all prep up kit that has complexity that rivals a PG kit. I just don't know if they can deliver what they promised to offer in their promotion video (e.g. perfect fitment, no need for joint enhancement for stability...etc.) As good as Bandai with so much kit experience, even their kit can't always be perfect and can has some loose connections here & there.

Nice.. but they quoted me $72 for shipping to Canada. That's $172 for the model, bringing the total to $244. Not sure it's worth it for a 1/100 kit.

Nah, not I.. it's too pricey.
You might find someone at HobbyFanatics that would have ordered it however.

Looks good in the pics, but a $200 model kit? I'll pass

Looks good in the pics, but a $200 model kit? I'll pass Yeah, it's a good looking kit, but a $200+ kit isn't really a rare thing at all considering Bandai has been churning out $200-300 Perfect Grade kits for years now (less so the last few years). I suppose my concern would be dropping out that much cash for a kit by a relatively unknown and new player in the market and having it turn out to be a big pile of crap. The recent 1/100 Nightengale is a pretty good example of that. As tempting as it is and as good as it looks, I just don't have $200 to test out their product right now.

I have this preordered, so when it arrives (supposedly in July), I will try to remember to tell you guys what I think, post some build pics, etc.

they were saying something on hobbyfanatics about it being partially or permently delayed because Bandai caught wind and put there foot down, many times resin kits can get away with it but since they ventured into plastic MG style kits that made a lot of news because of the mech it is based on and the detail they were promising Bandai told them to stop. i heard some preorders were refunded in full. does anyone else know if this is true?

There was originally going to be a Japanese release, Bandai issued a C&D, and now it's only being released in HK/China. Japanese retailers had to cancel all their orders.

Hmmm. Is this still not out? I hadn't ordered one but I was certianly very curious to see how it turned out, being such a ludicrously complex and sizable undertaking.

Came out a few days ago. Just an initial batch, though. More coming over the next couple weeks. All of them supposedly out by around the middle of the month.

I picked this up and it's marvelous, skimmed thru parts for count and flaws and happy to report that it came complete and detail is insane, will not be getting to build it for a while since I got others lined up first but I'm very much looking forward to building it, I won't be painting since the colors are perfect, at least to my liking, may do a post-shade, detail(mainly inner frame) and I'm debating painting the inner armor a metal color, iron or titanium or soothing along those lines.
