Boyet, that's hard cookie, since I bit into that myself when I bought the Optimus Prime "DVD Anniversary" edition, which coincidentially does not include a DVD, go figure (and really is nothing more than the 50th Anniversary Masterpiece Prime (US version) with anime colors (Takara colors) with a talking base.) and paid $69.99 for it before Christmas, which later was abundant at the clearance aisle of Walmart for a red tag $50.00 which you take 20% off. The Vader voice changer helmets are there for $19.99 now, I think from last spotting.
It is all a crap shoot and that is probably why the Japanese toy game is not very successful with major US retailers. IF Bandai was ever to boldly explore the idea of reusing the GoDaikin molds and re-releasing the Godaikins with the exception of a few of us here who would buy 2 or 3 of each most US toy buyers (usually for their kids) won't touch the stuff, because kids nowadays would rather have a game for their WII, 360 or the PS3.
If you really think about it, whatever we paid for last months toy extraveganza, we could have easily bought a PS3, 2 games, an extra controller and some extra cash to buy a Musubi to snack on while we play tyhe game.

good point 00silvergt.
BUT
sometimes i buy toys when i feel the excitement surrounding the hype or whatever gives me that feeling of being excited with a particular purchase. i think its well worth buying it just for the excitement alone.
i often fall for the 2 toy syndrome if i love a particular toy. 1 to play with and 1 to keep mint in box just in case i lost the one im playing with. its a stupid game i play with myself and sometimes i feel like its a vice. but it makes me happy and contempted just like smoking. i think its a bad vice financially but it makes me happy.
i think i see myself watching the movie. then buying this mask. then playing with it. will try even to scare my cat with it untill it excites me no more. yes its not the wise thing to do falling for this marketing gimik, but so long as it makes me happy. i think its well worth it.
