This is of those things i really never see. How rare of a find is it really on these. Also the spiked battle axes. Anyone have these in their collections?

When I picked up my 1st ed. Dragun last year I just said "the hell with trying to find a working Mattel piece" and tracked down a ZZ-3 accessory kit (which is where the strap on star shooter originally came from).
So from that I now I have both the strap on launcher as well as the fingertip missile firing hand attachment.

I have seen that set once but it was missing the star shooter. Looks like someone just wanted it out of the set.

The strap was with the 1st version, and don't see it very often. I have seen photos of the spiked axe, but can't say I have seen an auction with those yet.

I have 1 spiked ax, and plan to repro it, when I get some silicone....I'll make the base smaller to fit all editions launcher.....for some reason the 1st ax base was thicker ??

You know my Dragun had a strap. I bought a stripped dragun at a yard sale. My mom sent to Mattel for the parts and the stickers. I rememeber the order form! I wish I still had all that. My present Dragun has the clip.

What material was the strap made of? I think it might have Been a vinyl coated cloth?

Back in time here! All of the neighborhood kids has Shoguns, During the winter we would build snow forts and have epic shogun battles! There is a picture of me with the star shooter on my wrist firing away at someone. If I locate it I will post it. The epic battles led to me finding a very degraded an faded red missile and the head of a dragun axe buried in the front yard! there is also a picture of me and Giaking sliding on my saucer sled. good times , good times , LOL

Derik : Looking at the one I have, I think your right, the strap appears to be vinyl coated cloth. Before you brought it up, I just assumed it was leather. (Yeah right, on a 70's toy...)
As a side note, the swinging hatch cover of the strapped, star shooter is NOT interchangeable with the later non-strap, clip version. I tried... and failed...

Found this MIB 1st edition dragun 100% complete never been used, super mint, has a little shelfwear on box but not bad really at all. Has never been played with or displayed. Straight out of 1976. Super great addition for me. Has the shooter with strap and all spiked axes and stars. Has to be one of my best ones yet.

I probably shouldnt tell some people get upset over that thinking it influences the market if posted here. But i think i got a good deal because i would have paid more for it.

Well, the reason that I was asking is because a couple of weeks ago I bought a Shogun Warriors Dragun in factory mint condition like yours.
Although my version came with the clip-style star shooter, spinning saw blades on the arms, and thunder stickers on the legs. the 3 axes and 10 stars are still sealed in the bag.
So I wanted to compare my price with yours, but I understand...
