Love the forum. This has become a home base for me over the last few months. However, are their any plans to update the mechanics? The messaging system seems pretty clunky to be fair.
Also, how do I follow a thread or forum?
I see the bookmarking option but it doesn't update me when a new reply is posted.

Proboards is pretty limited, unfortunately. We were discussing maybe incorporating the forum into the website itself ( www.robot-japan.com/ ), but then we would lose all of the historic chat! That was just too much of a loss IMO, so I lobbied against it. This is it for now. Sorry. |

IMO, I'd rather Not be updated (ie: email notifications) whenever a new reply is posted in threads... ...I'd click the link only to find someone replied to a comment with short replies such as "LOL" or whatever. I bookmark every thread to which I post comments in, and then later on when I return to visit the forum I go into my profile page and review all of my bookmarked threads. Stickied topics and Hot topics get highlighted to the front of the forums, so they're easy to spot from the main forum board or from the forum index. Other than all that, we can only roll with whatever current features Proboards provides us. At the end of the day, It's all good.  zozo-mag |

I haven't heard Bolt Thrower in years since their first album! Yep, I dig all sorts of metal old and new, U.S. and bands overseas as well. I also enjoy folk music from time to time. We have a music thread in the Breaktime section where you can check out favorite youtube music-vids and stuff by other RJ music fans, and share whatever music stuff you like.
