I'm glad I never got the aoshima version, the SRC looks great and chunky.

Wow, I'm impressed it is this big and happy for it having the option to display the wings in other angles than down. Really nice.
Now, I dont have neither GX-51 or GX-52, but is it my impression or the SRC Shin Getter is just as big as them?

I'm glad I never got the aoshima version, the SRC looks great and chunky. Weirdly, I get more Muscular than Chunky out of this Shin Getter...thnakfully not Anorexic like most Revoltech releases...

Ehhh... Classic Super Robots are not muscular - leave that to modern stuff. The classics are just big. }D

I hope they add some detail to the wings before releasing. As they are, it's cool and all, but they have a cheap look.

Looks to be on the taller end of the SRC scale, so I'm guessing 15cm to the top of its head. As for more detail on the wings it would look better with a nice faded paint job but it is a relatively small toy so I'm thinking it is what it is.

Not bad, pretty big for its size so maybe is as tall as gunbuster. But still i would prefer it to be a SoC version of him

I am happy to have an SRC sized one. Though, this figure looks to be a really tall one. Taller than Gunbuster, Gurren Lagann, and Zeorymer (who was really tall too). I love my Aoshima Shin Getter. Sure, it is a brick, but it is a super sexy looking brick! Simply put, it looks powerful. It sits at my desk at my office and is often the most commented on figure.
The SRC SG looks amazing. It has lots of similarities (in my mind) to the Aoshima one but will be super articulated and will fit in with all my other SRC Go Nagai family!
Now we just need Mazinkaiser!

The last pic looks impressive. I thought the official news said it is only 14 cm tall. But it looks much taller in that pic.

any reviews on Aoshima Shin Getter, kind of wondering how's it quality and diecast content. collectiondx.com/toy_review/2000/shin_getter_1it's a brick, but a brick chock-full of metal. also comes in a rather extensive selection of repaints and alternate versions. I think you can find those in the Aoshima Checklist thread.

According to the picture below, Shin Getter 1 is approx.17 cm tall, which is close to the height of GX-52 the Getter 1.
