Its been months now since i was hooked up with popy toys.. I started collecting chogokins just last year.. It all started when a friend of mine gave me a gx-01g.. Since then i got addicted in collecting socs.. After researching all those stuff i had accidentally saw a popy toy in the internet.. Then after that day i always hunt in ebay for some popy up for grab here in the philippines.. I had saw some but they are to much overprice or sometimes have missing parts.. Then after that i lost interest of craving to have one because of its price and availability here.. 4 or 5 months had past, out of boredom i surf the net ebay and search for my prospects "danguard" till i saw a good offer and immediately call the seller told him to get it the following.. And here it is now with some soc.. Hoping this coming week i can get a jackpot offer again.. Because im craving to have a new one weekly lol

Congrats! Once a week for vintage items can get expensive. (So can twice a week. Uhh, not that I would know. )

It's hard to hold back to once a month, or once a week, since your brain goes "SHINY POPY BOXES AND LUVLY TOYS MUST HAVE NOW!!" LOL, especially if you know a seller, and stuff is available without too much hunting.
Nice catches. Dangard is a nice piece. Looks like the STs next all have their accessories and in nice shape, wtih just a little box/foam wear, which should keep prices more reasonable. Gaiking has highest demand, but always available, then Combattler

If a choice must be made with spending, the Popy vintage can quickly crowd out thought s of new SOC type purchases, which you can get anytime, hahaha

You've got a very nice start. Be careful with the buying "one a week" thing. That will change quickly, believe me. i was having insane amounts of stuff shipped in to me at one point.
Also, I'd recommend sticking with vintage, and only picking up a couple modern toys here and there if you really must have a particular version of a robot. Just my opinion though.
Most importantly, buy what you want and what you like or need, not what you think others would like you to have. Best of luck to you!

Yeah, I wish I could afford a new popy piece a week. Lol!
I always wanted a Kyodain chogokin brother set, but yeah, if you can get that 1st version Gaiking at a good price then go for it.

Im just picking the average price range of popy's now.. Only buying those that i can only afford.. Im planning to collect all vintage now.. They are really nice and quality wise.. The main thing is they are so expensive.. But worth it lol

How do you dust them without knocking one over or moving them all?

They are probably dusty. I had 'em up high because my kids were younger and they and their play date friends could not be trusted. I actually need to put up a bunch of stuff for sale that's outside of my interests now, I have Optimus Prime (about 6), and other stuff that's not core for me. A few years ago:

I'm still wanting some of the early GA Popy's, is Yahoo Japan the only/best way to source them?
I've even bought one robot from Ebay.fr that worked out okay.

I don't have much early stuff either. But if you give us an idea of what you are looking for, we can help point you in the right direction. Sometimes other members or private transactions work well when dealing with trusted parties.

Some of the regular Hong Kong shops on ebay , like toybasehk, or benlee have lots of stuff, thats close to "normal" value, & reasonable shipping.
YahooJP is great, but you WILL blow aton of money in double shipping, agent commisions etc, but have to be patient, & spend a bazillion hrs searching, lol
