It's OK...he probably wont actually be buying anything. I was almost on the show and when I said I wasn't going to sell any of my jumbos or Micronauts they offered to "stage" a sale...said that if the guy can't buy the rarest pieces it just doesn't make for good tv.

But , but, dragonclaw! Don't you realize the fame and fortune you're passing up?! (the other guys fame that is...) heehee Ill have to catch up with these episodes someday, they have been entertaining in the past. What happened to that other show with the auction house girl? I'm sure many of our families joke about calling these shows' producers when we're not looking, LOL!

Been waiting for this since the last season When there was a Godzilla on there. More interest means more pressure to do A movie, like the Gaiking teaser

I think its great Jordan skips over the already overpriced stuff, almost to avoid inflating the market on things further that he might focus on. In 2 of his shows 1 in the 1st season and 1 this season, he plucked out a boxed Matchbox Voltron III out of peoples collection and didn't give the price what he bought them for at the end. He skips over the Shoguns and skips the Popy/Godaikin robots, even though I am sure he buys them off camera. I like that, because many of these mentioned toys are eBay inflated already and luckily Jordan skips adding to the ridiculousness of further media exposure, which would in turn increase current prices dramatically. Even on American Pickers they went to a robot collector, and only asked about the old stuff, not even focusing on the more modern stuff. I like that this hobby area is keep more out of the light for collectors and enthusiasts like us. Keeps things somewhat affordable and fun, minus the legendary SG-01 Tetsujin-28 over-inflated price haha.

Ok I have watched the show a couple of times and it's ok, i like the toys but the guy needs to do a little more background research. This may sound nit-picky but I have heard him give false information a couple of times while claiming to be an expert. It makes me question anything he says about a toy I am not familiar with when he is wrong about something I am familiar with.

Well he is a toy expert, but only in specified areas. Robots and Transformers are his obvious weak point among a few other things. He tends to skip over Masters of the Universe and Star Wars stuff too, minus the 1 episode he bought a set of opened vintage figures.

Yeah, I'd much rather have my collection than a couple seconds of fame A few friends talked and actually we thought it would be a more compelling show if instead of buying ANYTHING they let collectors show off their collection and then get an interview with the significant other for "horror stories"...lord knows my wife has some doozies

Jordan seems like a pretty good guy to me. He most likey has to play the game in the show biz world to keep the show going. lets face it, you cant find the ultimate toys every show. I enjoy toy hunter just for the fact that it has already sparked my childhood like 4 times on toys I had and forgot I had when I was a kid. to me thats just priceless info that my brain forgot about.

Was last nights episode with Danny Bonaducci a new one, or a repeat? I missed the opening bit. Only "jumbo" found was the giant doll of one of the Partridge Family girls, LOL.

Hope it wasn't a sex doll. That would be weird and awkward. It being his "sister" and all. Didn't see the episode yet (my DVR is set to record them, so I'm sure I have it), but I don't recall seeing him in an episode in the past.

I'm sure many of our families joke about calling these shows' producers when we're not looking, LOL! Actually, my wife gets pissed off when she watches the show with me. She's like 'he paid $2k for those and is going to resell them for double that!? I wouldn't let him in my house!' LOL We're still only on season 1 in Canada, but I'm enjoying them to this point. Wasn't impressed with Collection Intervention though. I'd like to see it come back but more to show off the collections, not to say 'you have a problem'

the worst thing about toy hunter is that they use the exact same formula as pickers, which is a tired thing. theres a girl in the office, with cameras from three angles on her, explaining their new demands of toys in the office. like on pickers, he gets to the collectors house and has to introduce himself because none of these people have ever seen tv or know that he has a show by now. the pilot to toy hunter was about 2 years ago when they were shopping the show. i think it was on the documentary channel, and it was obviously following an identical template to pickers.
