Aw, c'mon bro... you Know you wanna get that Batman figure so you can replace the cape with a pair of Aoshima Shin Getter wings or a GX-49 God Scrander! ;D zozo-mag That Batman looks great. But it's the ARMOR look that carries it off for metal... It's very Iron Man armor-like. But that silk cap isn't for me. But I can definately see spending a few hundred on this type of figure.

So, keeping this DIE-CAST Superman in mind, I finally found the one I would purchase instead. I'm not sure of any Die-cast content. It's approx. $120 on pre-order and I would rather spend money on this than the Play Imaginative.

Crap. You're right. Die Cast means posing-ability. Just like the look of this guy so much it passed right by me.

Just got back from the Drive-in and saw this Superman Man of Steel movie...absolutely horrible movie.Russell Crowe was as stoic as ever,Lawrence Fishburn might as well have been a cardboard standee,he was literally in the same frame and straight ahead pose in all his scenes. Superman showed ZERO emotion,Lois lane character was just so not Lois Lane. The movie skipped around so much, from his youth to different ages back and forth literally every 3 minutes!you couldnt follow it at all for the first 3/4 of the film. Oh and they didnt use the name Superman until the late second half of the film !!!Really, Really Bad.He was in his costume for about 30 minutes of the entire film which was 2 and a half hours plus.

Damn! That's what happens when writers want to make every Superhero a nutcase with emotional problems. The Amazing Spiderman sucked, Iron Man 3 sucked, Superman sucked, I hope the upcoming Wolverine movie is the exception... but I'm not gonna bet on it. For the record, I didn't like the Dark Knight movies either. They portrayed Batman as just another emotionally unstable punk. The only difference being that he was a rich punk... }|

In this modern day age, the Hollyweird movie industry simply no longer has an identity. Everything they've been putting out for the past decade or so has been, and is, homogenized trash of so-called "ideas" just to make a quick few million bucks. Instead of basing their scripts on the original comic book sources of these super-hero characters, they are twisting stuff around into plots and stories that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the super-hero characters. zozo-mag

I wasn't crazy about the skipping around, but the flashbacks did seem relevant. He didn't seem so unemotional when his father died or when he killed Zod. Russell Crowe was no worse than Marlon Brando from the original supes movie. However, I watched this as a stream download. If I paid to see it, I might be more critical. I felt the fight scenes were a bit over the top and hard to follow. An OK movie, but horrible seems a bit extreme IMO :-)

Russell Crowe was awful.Did he have a clue that there was to be giant explosions and huge ships flying by him when he was so calmly and non chalantly WHISPERING to his son in the beginning? As a matter of fact half the actors were acting as if they were in a line for a play, while their home planet was exploding.
And dont get me started on Kevin Costner! How did he get in a blockbuister movie with his piss poor acting skills? Me and my friends were like he is doing his field of dreams act! Actually the 2 worst movies EVER made IMHO starred him,The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and The Postman!!! What was that movie hahahahhahaha a post apocalyptic film about mailmen fighting Mad Max type villains!! the mail must go through! If anyone wants to die laughing rent that turkey.
So teh best part of Superman was General Zod's hot female hench-woman,loved her!Kick my a$$ lady anytime!!

Wow. Sorry you did not like it Baron. I thought Man of Steel was awesome. Great Superman movie. As someone who has been reading Superman Comics and has a dozen long boxes of Superman comics I can say it rocked. It was a little bit of Superman:Birthright, a little bit All-Star Superman, and finally the Superman fight scenes we have been wanting to see. Lots of homages to Superman 2 and great acting all the way around. The only thing missing to me was the classic John Williams theme. Kept waiting for it.

I'm with ActionAwesome. I wouldn't call it terrible. A very good flick, but not GREAT. The story was based off the 1986 series by John Byrne - World of Krypton. (86 - He redefined Superman for DC with "Man of Steel / World of Krypton / World of Smallville / World of Metropolis". These 4 mini-series became the foundation (Cannon) for Superman for the next 15+ years - Yes, I love Superman & Batman) Yet, I would criticize the movie in different areas.
Story - VERY MOODY - Dark toned (Batman Style) with not enough bright hope - If you recall the Alex Ross PEACE book. Superman to me is all about bright hope and peace, not this dark way of story telling they did. Action Fight Scenes - Good, but at many points, it was too much zooming and panning. Yes, we got what we missed in all the past Superman movies, but at a certain point you get very annoyed at all the CGI action. (At least I did.) Acting - Crowe, Costner, & Fishburn - where is the depth of their acting ability?! Very sub par performances by each of them.
HOLLYWOOD in general - Rather than go with originality, they have put Superman into this cookie cutter machine and put out another flick that doesn't have the originality of the NOLAN Trilogy. They did a great job with THE DARK KNIGHT. It has been critically acclaimed as one of the best movies ever made. But copying the process to make MAN OF STEEL is just another way to make some QUICK cash. They lost the chance here, as they did with Superman Returns (At least there we paid homage to the John Williams score.)
3 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't like it. haha. Why would anybody want a diecast superman? My sentiments exactly I did enjoy the movie. But I think there was more potential to make a better picture. Like Spider-man - potential lost. But how many people are actually buying this DIECAST Superman? What are we talking ? 1000? Can't be 10,000? What is typically a price point / minimum quantity of production?

See, I'm not a fan of this new "crazy guy" Batman, so I wouldn't touch it even for $50. But Superman, that's a different story. }D
