I'm not much a TF fan myself.
But, I'd grab five of these, re-size their bodies,
and paint them to look like VOLTRON lions. ;D

I've never ever been to Collectors Conventions...
...I can only imagine that few Collectors are there
to sell or trade, while the hawkers are there trying
to unload their Dollar-store hordes for an extra profit;
or to score a good bargain just so they can turn around
and sell it at a higher price.
I've seen many fleamarkets where some vendors
would have Japanese toy robots for "sale" as in
trying to milk the highest price they can get for
whatever it was they were selling.... so, yeah,
some (not all) of them are Posers.
Their stuff would be mostly carded Transformers
you'd see at Dollar stores or at Toys-R-Us.
When asked about an item, they'd run me a spiel
on how "rare" the item is, or "no longer made".
Yeah right...
to me, Rare = I saw it last month on eBay or at
Family Dollar; and the auction ended, or Family Dollar
no longer carried the specific toy line product.
And, "No longer made" = the manufacturer right now
is busy cleaning out the molds and prepping them
to pour the next batch of plastic. ;D
As a collector, I'd attend a convention if it
relates to my activity in This hobby... I'd go to
browse and see if I find something I know I'd
really Really like to have; and I'd also like to
learn if anyone else there is familiar with
Robot-Japan, because eventually they Will be
once I'm done telling them about RJ.
To be honest, I'd feel embarrassed if I asked
a collector or vendor "how much are you asking for this"
and then not buying it because it was too expensive
for me or I didn't have the money for it.
So I try to avoid asking for prices unless I'm
sure I want it and can pay for it.
Go to Facebook page "I.Has.Toys" and look at
the loads of hauls that store has.
I can tell the owner collects many of those lines;
and sells some of them, because they seem to
be items any of us would want to complete
whatever we're missing.
I haven't been to that store in person YET...
(they're located in my region)
...but I know once I get there, the owner's gonna
have to revive me with smelling salts after I've
passed out from looking at all that eye-candy
inside the store. ;D
