Hi is anyone getting the new Riobot I just ordered mine from HLJ it will be coming in this upcoming week. it looks really cool like something from L-gaim and it comes with a massive 82-cm laser cannon. when it comes in i will post my review with pictures  |

Thanks for the upcoming review, already!  After how good the Riobot Gurren Lagann was, I was interested in this guy, but ultimately decided to let it pass. Perhaps, if I ever find it on sale I will get it. the problem is once these guys sell out they go up in price bigtime so it is best to get them when they come out i intend to do the same with Detonator Organ as well so i do not miss out, as for the plain colors i kind of like the real type look i may put a few small water slide decals on mine when it comes in to make it stand out a bit

I've got one on its way to me; I was planning on passing on it but made the mistake of checking out the manga - same problem that I had with the Delphine. Once I had read the manga for a bit, I felt like I HAD to get the figure. I'm hoping that it's as nicely built and designed as all of their other stuff.

sadly i just got mine and i have to sell it he is in the sale section if anyone is interested, he is quite nice from the few minutes i looked at him. only problems i saw were his feet pop off easy and he only has limited movement in his upper arms due to the way he is designed other then that i like him alot and am really going to miss him  |

I got mine the other day - I haven't had much of an opportunity to mess with it since then, sadly, but from what little I did he seems neat. It's a relatively simple design (an all gray robot), but they manage to break it up with a lot of shapes and different shades of gray. It has the usual tenets of a Riobot design, including clever joints (the legs can practically do a 180 bend at the knees, with the big thigh armor swiveling around accordingly) and very crisp, clean paint lines (with the exception of all the red stripes, which are supposed to look distressed and flaked). It's quite solid for a figure with such tiny feet, as well, and there are some good ratchet in place on that huge backpack that keeps it from flopping around.

The right shoulder pops off fairly easily. The feet are tight as a drum, though.

I'm getting ready to read the manga. Hope to have the first two volumes here this week. That will probably determine my final purchase decision. It looks really cool though!

Reading the manga definitely forced me down the "buy it" path. The art can be a bit confounding at times, but the overall story and setup is pretty fascinating.

This show just started streaming on Netflix. I added it to the Q but have not yet started watching. Anyone seen it yet, and is it worthwhile?

I watched the first two episodes on Netflix last night. Reminds me a little of Evangelion (you know, the quiet lonely kid who everybody bullies - but who is also the best robot pilot). It was entertaining. We'll see how it turns out as it progresses.  }D |
