So, China has a new CG "anime" film releasing this summer with subsequent plastic model kit tie ins. All I could get from my secondary source research is that it's called Overhunter Soldier? Kainar ASY-TAC Fronteer. Yeah, it's spelled 'T-E-E-R'. And since China is sometimes a giant I.P. black hole, to further complicate things, they have released a few trailers which feature elements that bear a striking similarity to recent (and past) Gundam shows. There are also supposed to be plastic kits on the way of the main robot in all the scales(1/144,100th and SD). Apart from the knock-off-ish feel, I sort of dig the design actually. Reminds me a bit of a cross between the R-1 Personal Trooper and the LBX Achilles. So, has anyone else run into this or know anything about the subsequent line of kits? It might have some Gundam elements, and it does look like a mix between R-1and LBX's Achilles, but this thing looks awesome. If I find a kit for the right price, I might purchase it. Let's hope that they release a metal build version of this robot.
