Hey guys just curious if anyone knows approx how many jumbos unifive put out before they quit? Not the versions I know that but the amount of each one. For the price these things goin for can almost throw in a little extra and get original. But I did cave in and got the gaiking and just wondering if it was a good investment.

Think that may have been brought up a year or two ago. Don't believe anyone had any estimates. Do wish that Uni-Five could have stayed in business for a few years longer.
Am interested myself if anyone has real information.

i tried asking that and got all kinds of responses, none of them having to do with my question. i think the real info is lost in the old popy archives that im sure have been thrown away. since they werent made for export, and the yen was pretty low back then (japan wasnt rich), ill guess the numbers are low in comparison to the later non-mattel stuff. i was at the bandai museum not long ago and no one there is of any help.

doh! thats what i get for half reading the post. i did try asking that, too, once upon a time, and same result. though i bought a batch of unopened unifive gaiking jumbos last year from a retailer, i dont think the run was in great numbers. might be rare in a few years. as for absolute numbers, i dont think we will ever get an answer.

I figured it was a long shot to find out how many but you never know maybe an employee of unifive or popy can on day shed some light on our questions. I hope the numbers are fairly low. Doesnt really seem like there are too awful many out there. I have way to many mattels my plans are to sell some off and put money towards more popy and unifives. These things take up a lot of room so I am selling off later versions and keeping the early ones.

Let me know when you're ready to sell, I have a few custom ideas, and how much.
