- Fortress maximus would be a mute point since they re-release the encore version and it would be awkward seen again a small version of fortress maximus while today there is a new Metroplex figure that is bigger. would like to see a new version of him with articulation and as big with the new metroplex.
- Powermaster prime: im not a fan of this concept but it would be very nice to see an update of this guy.
- Victory: this is another good choice to receive an update.
- Z: nope im not a fan of it so i don't care.
- BW Optimus Primal: this is a strange choice for a MP, i think the deluxe version was the better one and more accurate to the show. so what improvements can they do?
- BW2: I haven't seen it that much but i got the same issue with primal.
- BWNeo: again same issue with the previews BW choices.
- RID: seriously? how much MP you wanna make him? i mean the original toy was pretty much straight forward and accurate to how firetruck prime transformed so wouldnt it be pretty much just re-release the original toy to begin with?. the only issue i had was when he combine with Ultra Magnus to form omega prime and it was kinda unstable as well some what a brick. also if they do this version of prime will the also make Ultra Mangnus as well for there combine mode?.
- Armada: same issue with RID, once they make this guy will they also make Jet fire to form Jet Prime (Jet Convoy)his much cooler form?. would be interesting to see how there gonna be able to improve it from the original toy specially the trailer that forms his legs (the original had no leg articulation if a recall.
- Energon: seriously?.... why?.... it was a terrible show and has the same issues as the rest been they toy was pretty much straight forward. will they also make Energon Omega Supreme?
- Galaxy Force Prime: same issue...AGAIN!... the original toy was pretty straight forward and this version is not that old.
i have to say the only ones that truly need a masterpiece rendition would be Powermaster prime and Victory. the rest is like they put them there for the hell of it.
hell why not make a new Unicron and Primus figures for the 30th anniversary instead in Titan class, now that would be very impressive or how about G1 Megatron to go with the MP-10 Optimus prime, that makes more sense.

It could be a modified MP-10 + armor/trailer. But Armada is very popular too. MP with a beast alt mode ? No way... It does not go with the new scale and line up started with MP-10. And now a vehicule licence is one the main ingredient. |

These figure are very big and expensive to produce. MP line is selling so well because of price, design and vehicule licence. Megatron is a toy not easy to sell due to his alt mode : gun ! Igear missed the call for a MP-10 scaled Megatron. Last talk with him, he told me he was stopping for a while MP Transformers because of Takara production speed : too risky. See what happened to FanToys with their Soundwave (welcome to Shockwave and hope for Blaster). I wonder how Takara plannified to release the MP character ? Autobot and Decepticon choices ? We allready got : Optimus Starscream Sideswipe Red Alert Soundwave Tape minions Tigertrack Prowl Bluestreak Smokescreen G2 Sideswipe ... |

Well us voting here won't make a difference since it's a mail-in vote for Japanese residents who got points from the new Transformers Go toys only but I voted for Dai Atlas. I'm sure the fan vote will only be a part in Takara's decision, they will factor in costs, sales, etc before making a final decision.

True. But I really hope they will not take this as a test to developp those (infamous) Beastwars design...  Seriously, they need to keep focus on Trasnsformers with vehicules alt mode and G1 brick shape mecha design, as they allready rebooted on MP line. |

I thought Shogo stated he wants to make all the G1 Transformers? If they do decide to go with something other then a G1 design they could release it like they did with the Movie Masterpiece line and have it separate from the main line. Out of that list I only really see four designs that seem to still be popular with Japanese fans, Star Saber, Fortress Maximus, Dai Atlas, and Super Ginrai. They just re-issued Fortress and a MP of him would be to much if they want to keep a sense of scale, Star Saber and Super Ginrai are still pretty popular but I also noticed that the new Generations Transformers are heavily influenced by the IDW comic and Dai Atlas has been very prominent in that series. So I think it will come down to Super Ginrai who has cross appeal with North America and Star Saber and Dai Atlas who were the last two great Autobot leaders and were actual Transformers unlike Super Ginrai.

Energon and Armada were crap designs. I would hate to see them wasted as a MP. I see RID Prime being pointless unless he has parts to make him into God Mode. Cybertron got a mini MP design with the THS-01 figure. It has some cool elements, but I would not pick it over MP PM Optimus. I would love a perfect Optimus Primal figure as I never saw one I felt was worth buying. I would be happy for a 30th anv. toy though as long as it had a nice robot mode. I think Dai Atlas might be cool if they get him like the show model, even though I am not that familiar with the show. I think PM Ginrai will get it though. I think he has a bigger fan base globally than some of these other designs.

It will probably be PM prime but I could see RID prime having a chance. The others are too one sided.
I agree that FM will not happen and honestly dai atlas and star saber I hope they don't do and just encore those instead. Star Saber was rumored as the next encore, and if they do that I hop they will do victory Leo or a victory saber giftset.

Hmm, rather than these options that Takatomy is giving us, I'd rather have a proper Ultra Magnus However, If I have to choose from their list, I think I will have to go with Dai Atlas. Looks like it will make a splendid Masterpiece Figure. My second choice would be Cybertron Prime / Galaxy Convoy, although the existing figure is close enough to a perfect figure if an ankle articulation is added. |

I was hoping for Victory Saber instead of Star Saber. I hope they will also think of making others like Overlord , Black Zarak ,Deszarus .... etc

i agree if they did Star Saber i bet you would see Victory Leo at some point i would love a new one of those 2 but to be honest i would much rather see the most classic G-1 figures first
