I know that this is an old thread, but I finally got Masterpiece Star Saber during the holiday season when BBTS put it on sale for just $134.99. I couldn't resist. I'm glad I picked one up. It's a terrific figure IMHO. No major problems, thankfully, with my piece. It reminds me of toys from the 80's but still has modern touches to make it worth the price. It is definitely impressive in size. I don't mind the simple transformation. I also don't mind that it relies more on colored plastics than paint for coloration -- don't have to worry about paint rubbing off while connecting or transforming. I would've liked some firing missiles, but that's not too big of a deal.

I purchased and installed the KFC articulated hands (grey version). It's a simple and nice addition.

How do you guys enjoy your star sabers? Any serious joint looseness issues on yours?
I haven't taken him out yet since I ran out of Transformers shelf space XD

Mine is standing like a pot on a shelf (in a window closet).
