HI fellows,
I've discovered this forum about a year ago. Unfortunately, I was too busy to participate!
Anyway, I grew up (I was born in the 70s) watching Super Robots & Tokusatsu animes such as, Dinosaur Expedition Born Free, Izenborg, Grendizer, Astroganga, Mazinger Z, Voltron (you name them!) As well as, many other non-Super Robots animes (Future Boy Conan, Red Blooded Eleven, Arabian Nights-Sinbad's Adventures, Treasure Island ...etc)
I was addicted to animes during the 90s as well. Thus, I watched numerous animes (aired between 70s & 80s) which were not dubbed/released in my country ...
The first time my eyes laid on the first release of Juohmaru Ex-Gokin action figure produced by Fewture Models (from "Plawres Sanshiro" anime), I was hooked & decided to become a serious VINTAGE toys collector.
Having it is said, I've decided to collect Vintage toys relating to Animes which were aired between 1970s & 1980s.
My collection does include some modern releases as well, in case no vintage toy exist for such an anime. Otherwise, vintage toy is very rare or its price is out of my league (per say)

Hey folks! Lurked for a couple weeks but joined thanks to my good friend, Chogoking, once I got my first SOC (or any modern Chogokin for that matter) figure, GX-71 Voltron. I was blown away with the quality of the figure and have now jumped into the deep end to start collecting SOC stuff and joining in the community.

New to the forum and just started collecting chogokin/gokin after holding onto my friends SOC Voltes V 3 months ago. Never been the same again. It's been crazy 3 months hunting some of these older pieces but love the challenge and hunt. Really fascinated with these robots. Still learning so this forum is very helpful for me. Here's my small mecha collection so far minus small robots in another case. Sold off lot of other figure lines I don't care these days to fund these. Having fun collecting and so far most of the collectors I meet in person or online have been very helpful.

Advice to all of the new members - pace yourselves, make sure you have money for daily life, savings and necessities before starting to buy more items.
Read reviews and look for hi-res pics before you pull the trigger on something you may not like, regardless of whether it is cheap or high end.
Money wasted on something you don't/won't like is money wasted, no matter how you look at it.
Also, don't fall into the trap of buying something that you stumble upon when you are really saving for something else (a future purchase or big pre-order). I can't tell you how many times I have seen other guys going paycheck to paycheck or worse, or missing out on the item they truly wanted because they bought a temporary piece to hold them over and couldn't be patient.

I joined recently and in this short time have seen how great the community is here, so willing to share knowledge. Like many I grew up on Robotech, Voltron, Transformers, GoBots, and Zoids. During that time I bought a 5" diecast Shogun Warrior Mazinga from a garage sale and it immediately struck me with its amazing design. All those toys are gone but I when I was in Japan in 2015 I picked up a Hero Collection Great Mazinger and last year I picked up a vintage 5" Diecast Mazinga on eBay and was hooked. After joining this board, I have ordered a SRC anime Grendizer, a GX-45 shin Mazinger, and a GX-02R Tn 2016 Great Mazinger! As for interests, I like Mecha and Super robots (minus Voltron and Transformers). My main interest is for the art and aesthetic. I love sci-fi art. I picked up old super robot cel art in Japan as well - $5 each and stunning. Lightsabers are another aspect of my sci fi collecting.

Hello and greetings all, My name is Genosider, I recently joined but I've have been a fan of collecting vintage toys for a while now. My area of interest is mostly on 80s-90s vintage model kits, toys and resin kits; I've got a bit of hankering on collecting vintage SD Gundam merchandise lately.
Glad to be a member of the forum and looking forward to being part of the community!
