So I never had one of these before nor ever desired to as I hated the dumbed down shooter hand an sticker chest and stretched out neck look of the Euro iteration. BUT.... Since discovering this site I've been introduced to the likes of Bourno and Derik and obtained a repro left fist and the seperate chest piece that Bourno makes. With those and some other tweaks I believe that makes this Jumbo a worthwhile addition to my shelf. So I just got my French version of Goldorak and sonovab*tch his left leg is shorter than his right by a good 1/8 inch. Enough so that he visibly leans. I disassembled him and near as I can tell the left thigh blue part although the same length seems to be angled slightly and oriented slightly differently where it meets the lower torso. Now im going thru Ebay and im noticing that quite a few of the Goldrakes look like they have this. Not all but more than a few. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it exclusive to the French Goldorak? Is the Italian Goldrake exempt from this? I'm tempted to buy a second one and swap the right leg from one to the left of the other. At least then they'll both be standing evenly. One would just be a hair shorter than the other.

Yeah I have see this too. Both of mine have that lean going on. I though it was the wheels at first. I ended up just sticking a folded piece of paper under the shorter leg and it was fine. As for your Goldorak modifications, I have been doing the same thing and I feel that it is turning out pretty well. The only real problem I am running in to is the legs/feet. It requires more time than I have right now to give to it. I s will see what happens in a month or so. Good luck with your modifications. Oh yeah there is a French Goldorak the is significantly shorter that other versions. I saw it on one of the DX podcasts.

The lean is pretty common for the Goldoraks. And I have swapped around the upper thigh parts when I had gotten a couple extras to try and even that out. On a decent number of those jumbos, the previous owners had popped off one set of roller wheels to get it to stand up straighter. Good thing I like to try and snag any bargain jumbos off ebay and can rob the wheels off of.
