Wow!!! Bro, those new custom Revoltech Getters look so ab-so-lute-ly AWESOME!!! Questions: Are those Getters cast in colored resin? Or, Did you use an added colorant (powdered, or liquid) to the resin? I admire your talent and dedication to this creative aspect of the hobby all the way! Thanks for sharing! zozo-mag

Wow, I've never seen those before! Beautiful! ...wait, "Yutaka"..... oh, okay, now I recognize that Getter set... TMZ has a Yutaka Getter Go set like that one! They're so cool! "gummy"....... almost like that same gummy material for gashapons, right? ....and then the elastic primer makes the gummy material more solid so that it will not absorb the paint inside, right? ...lol, I'm just guessing that's how it works. I've never used Elastic primers before. Some gummy materials tend to absorb paint, and when the paint dries you can almost see the original material's color underneath... sometimes it's not always a good thing, because the new paint color might not appear solid and you end up using much more paint than necessary to get a solid coat. But, you did a very good job on those Getters... the paint looks solid, thanks to the elastic primer! zozo-mag thanks magengar, those are ABS material they are very "gummy" and only had 1 color base each mecha.i use Elastic primer as base before paint it with Laquer. this is the original figure

Cool, Thanks for that info! Next time I go to my local hardware store I'll ask them if they have elastic primer. Otherwise, I'll stick with Plasti-Dip... it works the same way, mostly used for rubber-coating handle grips on tools (screwdrivers, pliers, knives, etc); but it's only available in Black, Yellow, Blue, and Red. It works best when applied in thin layers for building a thick coat. After it is cured (dried) it becomes flexible if the coat is thin. And, if the coat is thick it can become semi-rigid. The more layers = more rigid. www.plastidip.com/zozo-mag magengar: yes its like gashapon. about elastic primer i dont know exactly how it works, but if you bend the figure the paint will not crack.more updates sunday is paint time! long time not update this, just get a thruster effect and adding joint stomach getter gai group photo with their getter machine plamo bandai 1991 Nice custom job! and that Getter Go model kit, even though its all plastic, its almost as detailed as the larger DX version. and can make all 3 combinations. Definitely a cool acquisition to anyone who can get it.

thx bro, and yes this model kit has some point better than DX, like getter sho's horn, in model kit it can folded up, while DX static as result paint chipping if you put the drill on the head to form jet.

Actually the part i was disappointed on the DX version was with green Getter machine 3. While the model kit has wings the can be pulled to extend sideways to make it look much better, the same cannot be said on the DX version. It lacks that feature. DX is supposed to be the "improved" version,,,but on some parts, it isnt. Good thing is that , it has diecast and it comes with an extra ship for Getter Go's final gattai form. It seems the combining diecast ST version has the good points of both the model kit and the DX versions, but i havent checked that out yet.
