Sweet, I love the fact that you can build models the same scale as the toys. It really fills out a collection and doesn't cost a arm and leg to do it. TJ you should think about building a Sinanju to go with your Metal build Unicorn.

Sinanju V.Ka was so fun to build. I love all the working pistons, articulated fingers and the movable "eyeball."
I didn't like that it couldn't hold his heavier weapons.. I also wished his outer shell plastic had the same quality plastic as the sturdier frame plastic.
When I was done, it felt VERY light of course, and got me thinking... Won't it be cool if Bandai included some burnished metal especially on the lower legs inner frame? That would be the best of both worlds. Just to give it some quality heft. Right now it's less then half weight of the MB Exia...

And you're absolutely right: The cost vs. what you get is phenomenal. And that's actually a REALLY good idea. Added Clear blue to the visor. Big diff:

I think it was kind of a complement. Heck you've been churning out Mobile Suits faster than a scientist out of the Sanc Kingdom. You've got your own personal operation Meteor going on! LOL! XD I need to quit messing around myself and build my MG Wing Gundam.

Very cool 00. Looks like you had lot of fun. I'm still too chicken to paint (or even decal) mine... Thanks, One of these days, I'll get the 5D2 out and take real pictures of these. It is more pastime for me. Maybe, if time allowing I'll post post tuts here on my Gunpla techniques. After 10 years of doing this I picked up a few things and don't mind sharing the knowledge. BTW, by no means do I think I am a pro or an expert, just learning like everyone else. As for painting, I say go for it, but don't make the mistake I did and spend good money after bad buying markers, and paints. It is always best to get what you really want/need the first time around so you have more money to spend on the real deal. My advice would be to pick up a good gravity-fed airbrush (Badger, Iwata, etc- avoid the cheap ones like the plague, trust me, it is worth the money to save yourself frustration and inconsistency of the cheap stuff.)and a good collection of Vallejo acrylic paint. Vallejo Model Color or Model Air is what I use, along with the metallics from the alcohol based ones and use the Vallejo Primer. Get a decent compressor, eBay ones are fine, they are merely air sources. Get one with a tank, again, save yourself the frustration. I airbrush every gunpla I build. I start by grouping the like colors (like laundry). I'll post more when I have the time. Decaling can be fun, I actually make my own. On these HG 1/144 it is really not necessary since they are so small. I actually find that decals on these smaller scales can actually be less is more. On my MG's I decal and even get the hop up decals when they are available. I got it down to a science that I can get an average HG kit done in three days, painted/coated and lined (I use a wash). It really is a lot of fun, if you can figure out the hurdles ahead of time.

This one I built up first and took it apart and painted it piece by piece. I have the G Gundam HG primed right now and will likely get the painting done tonight when I get home.
