Hi guys,
Can anyone give me some opinions on these toys, specifically the gd-16 regular RX-78 (Amuro Ray) and the Zakus (Char and standard Green).
How are they over time, do they have decent quality/a lot of die-cast?
I really have no gundam stuff except the "reissue" GA-100 which i love! I like older more traditional stuff like that or clover style - basically more true to the anime designs and colors, not modern looking with all the bolts and panel lines like a lot of newer Bandai and MG stuff.
So if you loved them or hated them, let me know. Or if you know of something else that fits the anime look, let me know, die-cast preferred.
****only looking for recommendations for toys/characters from the original mobile suit gundam, not from any subsequent series.

FYI I have decided to hold off on these for a while but if you still have comments on them, or suggestions on the alternate type of toy/figures I mentioned at the end of post #1, please post them.

I like the RX-78 and Zaku's in this toy line. They're charming in that classic 1st anime series way. These seemed to be designed as toys with playability and articulation in mind instead of as display pieces that look good. They're relatively simple which isn't a bad thing -- you don't have to worry about breaking something or worry about rubbing of paint. It's been a while since I've taken mine out, but I believe that the RX-78 comes with a pewter figure of Amuro and the green Zaku comes with a Zeon ship as a bonus. These GD series figures are small and nicely packaged in cardboard boxes with styro trays.

I love 'em! I have 2 Rx-78s and a green Zaku. Very nice articulation with some decent amounts of die cast. Just like zephyranthes said, they have that actual anime feel to them as opposed to the MG kits which are modernized.
Just stay away from the zeta gundam GD chogokin....very disappointing.
