I was just watching the new gaiking series (legend of daiku maryu) and decided to do a history search of the original show. Wiki[pedia showed that Gaiking was created by Go Nagai and there was a legal battle between Toei and Nagai for sometime. I watched the gaiking show in the 80s and never knew about this fact. Yup Nagai came up with the concept but some sort of dispute happened and he was erased from the credits, but fans know the truth.

Thanks for the info. I guess I was completely oblivious about this. It amazes me how Mr Go Nagai can come up with unique concepts and designs for his robot. He is truly what legends are made up of.
