A heat-gun can get way too hot and cause some damage. I use a regular hair-dryer instead and it works awesome! }D

Until NOW I had always thought it was impossible to remove tape from boxes; and so, I always left the tape on just in case I might ever wanna re-seal it (what for? I dunno. lol) Thanks for the tips! zozo-mag

Until NOW I had always thought it was impossible to remove tape from boxes; \ zozo-mag Yeah, me too. Thanks for the tip. Although I do know of another great product. My wife uses it for scrapbooking. Its a chemical that can remove stickers/tape, and then let you reapply the sticker if you so desire (it re-energizes the adhesive once its removed). Its great for stickers on wrong places of toys, or just poorly positioned. However, I am not sure how it would hold up to printed artwork below tape, so the heat trick is a good idea.

Yeah no kidding. I use thid gun when making carbon fiber car parts to heat the epoxy resins. It gets really hot. I think a hair dryer is a better bet

Great tip. I've always left the tape worried I'd make it worse.

I use the same method but always a hair dryer. Never fails. I had a godaikin golion and DX Voltes shipped into me that were covered with tons of vintage tape. Took a while but it all came off clean.
Just take your time, and even with the hair dryer, I usually take the cello overlay and toys out of the box and just let the lid, bottom and foam hold the box shape while I work on it.
