Dear RJ members,
Looking for a Leopaldon Jumbo. Will consider any condition. Please PM me if you have one to spare.
My 6 years old son falls in love with this robot after he watched the japanese spiderman video clip on youtube. I hope to find a Leopaldon jumbo, and place it in common area for both of us to enjoy.
Many thanks !!

This is a very expensive and rare Jumbo. Best of luck in your search. Yahoo Japan is a great resource as is E-Bay. I have one myself but like most owners, I wouldn't sell because finding another one would be very difficult. Good luck!

There was one on Yahoo Japan MIB that just sold for 1,160,000 yen which I think equates to about $11K UDS!!! Here's the link www.rinkya.com/en/auction-g125386996One of the coolest Jumbos in my opinion....

You would think that I wouldn't be surprised at prices any more. That one did. So did the Giant Gorg in box for 14500¥....

Not completely shocked at the price considering it was probably the cleanest and most complete example I've seen. That nice and they seem to double what you expect to see.I would have thought more in the 6-700,000 range myself but the starting bid was 1,000,000. Oh well, someone got a really nice piece.

11k USD for a MIB Leopaldon probably worthy for those deep pocket collectors.... That is more than what I paid for Voltes V jumbo. I was hoping to look for something cheaper (few thousand dollars range).
Guess I will continue to hunt for Leopaldon Jumbo..... Really want to kick myself for chance to own one couple years ago, but it wasn't that appealing to me at that time.... Not until my son is hooked with the robot, and keep watching it on youtube.
Side note : My son is 6 years old. But he can name each of the 70's robots from my toy cabin... He can even sing the lyrics from Mazinger Z opening song in japanese..... Guess Youtube is really powerful learning tool for kids nowaday.

I saw that YJ auction and thought the guy was nuts with an opening bid of 1,000,000....but it actually got bids which shocked the crap out of me. An MIB one is going to be well out of my grasp now that this precedent has been set. Looks like loose, incomplete for me (if they ever show up that is).
bowhntr, what was surprising about the Gorg? Was it too high or in your estimate too low?

Too low. Even after you figure shipping and fees it would be about $300. I've seen them go for up to $600. Granted, it's not a really popular jumbo, but he's still kind of cool.

Okay, just checking because that was me that won it. I'd never actually gone looking for the Giant Gorg jumbo, but the price seemed reasonable for a piece that I didn't have, so I went for it.

Great score man! Good for you! He is pretty cool and from what I understand, much better made than the bootleg that I have of him. Congrats!

Thanks! Now I just have to get him shipped. Slowly building my Jumbo collection. It's going to be a long journey though, I've become enamored with the Daltanious, Combattler and Voltes jumbos. Plus I need a true villian aside from my Unifive Garada.

You'll get there! Combattler is an incredible piece, I just got mine about a month ago and I'm VERY impressed with how well he's made!
