WOW! didn't even know it existed! Yeah, its pretty rare, and always goes for BIG money. I've only seen a handful up for auction over the years. The lighting there was all over the place, with different bulbs used between displays and the the ceiling, making it a pain in take pictures. It was also sort of sad to see so many toys with yellowing from the harsh lights in the displays. That is really sad and such a shame. You would think that they, of all companies, would know better and treat their vintage heritage better.

Very cool pictures! I would sit in the super chogokin/Godaikin and Super Sentai/Power Ranger rooms in a toy coma. With drool leaking out the side of my mouth staring at robot heaven. Hmm, I wonder it being a museum, if they have spare parts and copies of the booklets? If I go there I will make sure to ask.

Thanks for sharing! The Jumbo's are rare and all but I would think being a museum that they'd have all mint in box specimens. A lot of those JM's are missing stickers and accessories. Hasn't Bandai heard of the Jumbo legends Kitsir and Bourno!!

Hi, Just wondering if it is your first time in Japan? Did you find getting around a bit difficult? I am planning to go around april and jsut wondering if it is a place where my wife and I can go? Thanks for the advice. Whoops, sorry for the late reply, totally got sidetracked. I've been to japan before, but its pretty easy to get around in the city, most signs have are in english and japanese. The only time I had some difficulty was getting to the bandai museum since it was far out enough that the signs weren't in english anymore, though it helped that I can read katakana and hiragana. I just made sure to plan wherever I was going for the day, and then had google maps find me the trian routes. It also helps to have a map of the area your going to just in case.

gogglev Thanks for sharing! Did you buy anything while you were in Tokyo? I intentionally brought a small suitcase so I wouldn't buy too much, but I did end up buying a couple random small things.

I got the Totoro figures at the Ghibli Store at Tokyo Solamachi, next to the Sky Tree, I actually looked for them at the ghibli museum but they didn't have any.
Mojacko, I believe Disney has the rights to distribute Disney films outside of Japan.
