I just got back from a trip to Tokyo last week and managed to visit the Bandai Museum. It was pretty far from Tokyo, probably a good 2.5 hours, but well worth the trip to check out quite a large variety of toys. DSC_0730 by siningy, on Flickr DSC_0715 by siningy, on Flickr DSC_0684 by siningy, on Flickr I think this display includes every super sentai robot made. DSC_0635 by siningy, on Flickr The children's play area had a lot of pretty awesome toys to play with. Thanks for the photos. I know others have posted some in the past, but you can never get enough, and they might change up displays over time, so this is always appreciated.
It still seems strange to me that they include non-Bandai (and non-Popy) toys in their display.
But I love that they showed not only the combined forms of the vintage diecast toys, but also the individual forms (Golion, Godsigma, etc.).
Its also awesome that they have a play area with toys for the little ones. That is real cool.
Oh, and great city pictures, especially the nighttime photos. It really gives a feel for what its like to be there. Damn, I be mega-jealous!

I believe the Tobikage toys were vintage, but I'm not too familiar with them to be 100% certain. The museum is actually located in a town called Omocha no Mori, which sadly only has this one toy related place. It seemed like a pretty empty town too, and I was practically the only person there when I visited. If anyone wants to plan a heist, I'm sure the museum would be very easy to rob.
The lighting there was all over the place, with different bulbs used between displays and the the ceiling, making it a pain in take pictures. It was also sort of sad to see so many toys with yellowing from the harsh lights in the displays.

They have the rarest of rare jumbos and and so many boxed specimens. That Ultraman Leo w/ box is awesome! Yet the display doesn't hold a candle to Mike Deco's display. I'd love to go back and wander around a bit.Definitely think the old building in Chiba was a bit cooler looking with the statues up the facade.
