This is looking very cool!! How passionate about the Panosh Lion voltron you must be to make the vehicle version,so very cool! Did you mention what your going to do about pilots? Customize others or print new ones or? 15 pilots and being able to fit each one in their own vehicle is gonna be CRAZY!! Good luck !

The progress this project is taking is abso-frigin-lutely phenomenal! That finished head is all the rave, it's amazing how you managed to work in the detail and functionality for that head vehicle-- that face panel, too!
It's been a while since I've been watching this; but as with any long-term project, I like to watch now and then walk away and come back weeks or months later to view the updated progress.
You and so many others have a better sense of purpose for these custom projects... the "Stick-To-It-Til-Done" ethic... a much better sense of that purpose than I do. I need to get back to that kind of strong work ethic in this hobby.

Thanks to you both! As for pilots... a couple years ago, I commissioned the making of 20 Vehicle Team Voltron custom action figures: the 15 pilots, plus Commander Hawkins and Captain Newley of the Stellar Ship Explorer, Commander Hazar and Viceroy Throk of the Drule Empire, and a Drule Soldier. Pardon the crappy cell phone photo, but it's all that I have on-hand at the moment. The figures look much better in person. The figures were made by pock63, and to date they are my favorite Voltron collectibles. I would like to have 3D-printable action figures of these characters at some point, but I don't have easy access to the necessary technology... yet. Project update: A couple days ago, I ordered a test 3D print of one of the upper leg vehicles. This week I'll start to flesh out the design of the lower leg vehicles. I'm also beginning to consider projects beyond this one. The top contenders for the next project include a Star Trek: The Motion Picture USS Enterprise playset for 3-3/4" action figures, a Star Wars Death Star playset for 3-3/4" action figures, and a Lion Force Voltron from Voltron Force -- fully transformable and capable of "swapping centers" like in the cartoon, and made in the style of Mattel's Imaginext toys.

Thanks! They're made from Panosh Place Voltron figures, plus bits and pieces of Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Star Trek, and The Corps figures.

Wow, those figures (and how they were made) are absolutely Genius! Yes, action figures from the Star Wars and GI-Joe toy lines are excellent for modifying into robot pilots- thanks to their simple design and small scale! zozo-mag

Thanks! Although I provided crazily detailed notes about each character, plus all but one "donor" action figure, it was pock63 who took the pieces and parts, plus the notes, and made them into an awesome reality. He did an amazing job! And now, Voltron updates!

In the next few days, I will post better photos of the action figures. They are truly a sight to see. As I said they're my favorite Voltron collectibles! pock63 did a fantastic job with them! Here is a link to pock63's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Pock63Customs

I still haven't shot better photos of the custom action figures. A test print of the right upper leg vehicle arrived today. It turned out very nicely. I'll share more photos of that model soon, but for now, here is the old foam core-and-posterboard concept model of Vehicle Team Voltron, with the head and right upper leg replaced by the 3D-printed "final" models. Matchbox Deluxe Vehicle Team Voltron (Voltron I) is shown for scale reference. As a reminder... each of the 15 vehicles can accommodate a 3-3/4"-scale action figure of its pilot.

Yesterday I snapped all new photos of my custom Vehicle Team Voltron action figures, which were made on commission by pock63. Pilots of the Voltron Air Team. From left to right: Air Team Leader and Voltron Force Captain Jeff, Rocky, Wolo, Chip, and Ginger. Pilots of the Voltron Sea Team. From left to right: Sea Team Leader Krik, Lisa, Tangor, Shannon, and Zandee. Pilots of the Voltron Land Team. From left to right: Land Team Leader Cliff, Cinda, Modoch, Marvin, and Hutch. All 15 pilots of the Voltron Vehicle Team. I also commissioned the making of five non-Voltron Force characters. From left to right: Drule Soldier, Viceroy Throk, Commander Hazar, Commander Hawkins, and Captain Newley.

Latest developments: Sea Team 6 -- Voltron's waist, and the spine of the Aqua Fighter -- has been completed, and I've ordered a 3D print. I expect the parts to arrive in mid-December. Air Team 2 -- Voltron's upper torso, and the hub of the Strato Fighter -- is under development.

This project is nearly finished! I just need to redesign the head module, Rugger 1, in full color instead of all white. (Rugger 1 was the first module that I made, and at that time, I was going to make the whole robot all-white.) I hosted a panel about the Panosh Place-inspired Vehicle Team Voltron project at VoltCon 2019. It was fun to show the project in person.
