This is something that may be of interest to a few folks here: e2046 has discounted their in-stock stuff an extra 20% off until October 31st or so. e2046 is an HK-based seller of recast garage kits, mostly unpainted as well as a few painted ones. Resin kits are generally pure display pieces, which may not appeal to those who like to pose and play with their figures, but this is generally what the handful of Five Star Stories fans have had to go with to get stuff in figure form (my avatar is my favorite design from FSS). I've heard that the prepainted figures are generally well-done, and so I'm excited to get a few Five Star Stories items in. Here's a link to the prepainted stuff in stock (you can filter using the options on the left, like showing only robots and in-stock items): www.e2046.com/gathering.php

Urgh. I've got so many unbuilt FSS kits - I really can't justify buying any more.... but man.

Poseable or not, those kits look beautiful. I wish I could land a couple of those Mazingers, I like their beefiness. Thanks for the heads up! zozo-mag

I got two of my orders in and wanted to share them with you guys: the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the Yen Xing. I haven't inspected them in great detail yet, but my first impression is that I'm very happy with them; the one possible exception is the color choice on TTGL - the metallic red looks awesome, but they used a fairly rich purple when I think it's supposed to be more of a black/grey. Here are a handful of pics: TTGL Yen Xing (Five Star Stories) I'm particularly happy with the Yen Xing. It's the first FSS piece I own, though I've been quite a fan of the series for at least the past decade. Assembly was actually really straightforward too, which was a nice surprise. You don't have to manually attach all the cables as that's been done already, and everything is pre-pinned so things just slot right in.

Holy...the FSS stuff looks jaw-dropping. I thought all the mecha were super insane resin kits from Volks.
So, are these pre-painted FSS "statues" made of resin as well? I'm really tempted to get one or two...

And who is the manufacturer of these FSS display figures? Volks too?

They're resin kits. The original manufacturers include companies like Volks, Wave, etc., though the things at e2046 are all recasts of the original products. The TTGL was originally a Volks release as well.
These pre-painted 'Gathering' kits are all resin kits that have been completed by a group of modelers, and they're shipped out needing only very minor assembly (no glue, pinning, etc. is required).
I'll try to take better pics of the Yen Xing when I get the rest of my order in, which includes a Neptune and Black Phantom!

I just paid for these 3 pre-painted pieces of beauty! Great Mazinger (a mind blowing statue) is in stock, while Grendizer and damaged ver. Mazinger Z are pre-orders. Frankly, I did not care to ask before I pay if they are gonna ship 'em one by one or all at once. To me, this trinity is a MUST HAVE.
