Hah!

That's the long awaited Hayao Kakizaki VF-1A from the movie, although I don't think it was clearly visible since Hayao's Valkyrie wasn't seen up-close at the start or middle of the Movie. When it blew up, it was short and quick, but that's definitely Kakizaki's colors.

Kakizaki was a total afterthought in the movie-version. The first time I watched DYRL, I almost completely forgot about him ...then suddenly his plane was shot down in the Meltran attack near the end and I was like: "oh yeah!! where was he up to now?"
But anyway there's a shot of Hikaru, Max, and Kakizaki cruising just a moment before that - and yes, it's pretty much the only time you see a green-trimmed VF-1 - and it's not even obvious how many head-lasers there are (it never transforms to Battroid mode).

I just love how Yamato is clearly milking the molds to produce items that were never factory produced.
