When did that happen? Maybe I've been sleeping under a rock and just woke up, but I'm quite sure we couldn't get Bluefin's imports directly from Amazon Canada just a few months ago. For way too long, the vast majority of collectible figures you'd find there were sold by marketplace sellers. It usually meant extra shipping fees and prices considerably higher than what you'd get from Amazon's US counterpart, who was carrying them. Most of the time, it was just cheaper to get them on Amazon.com, even if we could not get free shipping. Now, do a quick search for your favorite Bandai figures on Amazon.ca and you may find them right there, shipped and sold by Amazon, with free super saver shipping. About time! Their inventory isn't as vast as the US store, but it's a start. Some toys are actually cheaper than on Amazon.com right now. For example, I pre-ordered SRC Mazinkaiser for $54.77 and Chogokin General Franky for $170.40 (Canadian dollars, of course) on Amazon Canada, compared to US$69.99 (CDN$73.16) and US$242.37 (CDN$253.36) respectively on Amazon USA.

Yeah, I just discovered this a few days ago and preordered the Metal Build Destiny Gundam and the SRC GaoGaiGar...
A small caveat, I did hear that packing is not the greatest. A person I spoke to on another online forum said to quote "that the boxes arrived as if someone played fieldgoal practice with them." Not just a one-time thing. Makes me a bit nervous...

If you absolutely want your box in pristine condition, Amazon may indeed not be the best place to go. I haven't received anything broken from them so far and certainly nothing anything like you're mentioning, but they are not a small collector's shop and don't bulletproof their shipping boxes. Actually, the shipping box should arrive fine, but the toy box inside could have moved around quite a bit, depending of who packed it.

Yeah, Amazon's shipping habits really Suck. The only thing attracting me to order an SRC through Amazon is the price with free shipping. So, as long as the actual SRC's box isn't severely beat up I can live with a few creases and wrinkles; I just want the SRC to arrive undamaged.
I also read a petition article from some political petition website (they always send me petitions to sign. lol) about Amazon planning to raise their free shipping limit from the current limit of $25 USD (free shipping on orders over $25 USD) to $35 (free shipping on orders over $35 USD). Of course, I signed the petition to fight Amazon's plan. I should have passed the link here so RJers can have a look at it.
I'll do more research to verify if it's true what Amazon plans to do. If I find anything concrete I'll pass that info here at RJ.

I am sorry that you guys have had bad experiences with Amazon shipping. That stinks. I'm surprised to hear/read about this, as neither I nor anyone I know who orders from Amazon have experienced these problems. I make most of my purchases at Amazon and I actually prefer items that are fulfilled by Amazon when not directly sold by Amazon.
