I know I'm not suppose to post live link, but with 157 bids and 600K yen+, I assume there is very little risk of further inflating the price. page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r108028731Gundam kit fans should look at it before the auction pictures are taken down.

That is truly beautiful work....but over $6200 for a 1/100 model kit? That's just insane. If it was modded and pimped by the designer from Bandai that created the design and tooling then maybe I could somehow rationalize it, but just a really nice custom....no way.

Lol...the amount of detail that went into explanation of the mods alone...

He did actually do a great job of detailing his mods. A talented member of the US Gunpla community could try to reproduce his efforts and see what the results would be on eBay as an experiment. I bet it would fetch MAYBE $500. I've seen some truly talented Transformer modders get that much from some truly beautiful Masterpiece customs that look factory made, so a Gundam 1/100 model wouldn't probably get much attention.

Beautiful without a doubt but over $6000!??!! Nuts. I hope those nozzles are made of gold and platinum for that price. Still, truly amazing work. Wonder how much time it took to mod the RX-93.

And it's now over $7000. People have more money than sense it appears. For $7000 you could buy quite a number of those kits and build and build and build until your skill comes to the point of being able to do it yourself. Or I bet, you could contact a well known Gunpla modeler/modder and offer them $3000 and I bet they would jump at the chance of making that much money for a few months work.

That's one helluva sick mod! I wish I could sell a good modified specimen for even a TENTH of that price, I'd be happy-mealing for a month! lol Okay, here's some good pics... www.sankakucomplex.com/2013/11/18/godly-gundam-fetches-10000/( WARNING: that webpage also contains some smaller explicit pics on the sides. You've been warned.) zozo-mag

Indeed hot and certainly worth a grip of cash! Yahoo Japan is nothing short of legendary for outrageous custom Gunpla that sells for inappropriate amounts of money. Lots of nice etch work, detail-up parts, clean paint and some things that as a modeler myself....just make my jaw drop! Amazing work. *takes notes*
