I would guess that the theme here is that they want it to look like it was built from scrap metal, which if that is the case, it does have that random, non-manufactured, makeshift look to it, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. It is quirky for sure, and I can understand that for certain collectors this would be cool. While I like the concept, I wish there were a couple of changes in the design.

Yeah I can see that on this Z, but If the scrap is the concept, they didn't go far enough IMHO. If it's steam punk look they were going after, it doesn't even compare to Fewture ones...not even close. Is it realistic concept? If that's the case then they should have researched more into reference materials like Boston Robotics and such... Because as of now, It's the half baked to me... it looks lazy and not well thought out. One thing "3A or 3zero or 3H or whatever" actually REALLY need to calm down on is... Easy on the dirty rusty paint app!!! 3Z, you are going WAY overboard with that. Not everything robot means ultra rusty and greasy....gee wheez. I agree, just couple of revisions would of made this thing more coherent and "balanced."

I wonder how much diecast does it have??? Zero, zilch, nada, which incidentally makes me wonder why a thread of a vinyl figure is in a section dedicated for robot toys made out of metal.

Now i know what this reminds me of,the green Walker Gallia from Irongear!Ugly in itself! Wow....just wow. I mean so the Mazinger H is not even original or different. You,d think then, looking either at your sketch or robot references, if hip is wider then chest...in general, for male super robot it,s a really really bad idea and just plain ugly? You,d realize that before you sink who knows how much into this project....

Wow. Not much love for this guy at all in this thread! I don't dislike it, and I find the movable Iron Cutter blades pretty cool. But some of the design choices I don't like, such as the wide hip, some shapes and details they have here & there. But its not too bad. Not something I would buy though. Just another rendition of the abundance Mazinger Zs that we have all these years.

Hips kill the design so bad.If legs attached at the bottom where the truck-nut hangers are it would change the width of hip and length of leg proportions enough that i think a lot of other design weirdness would be more accepted.

If this thing does not have any metal in it as it has been mentioned before, why is it still in the SOC and other diecast figures section? Can a mod or admin please move this thread to the plastic figures section instead, pkease? Thanks! }D

I agree. It has no diecast, and it has Handles, too... it belongs in the vinyls thread. Move it, or I will have it towed! zozo-mag
