I will say this though, I'm glad people are still making new interpretations of classic robots like this one. Same with SKL, Fewture, etc because even though I don't really like this one, it does introduce Mazinger to new people and perpetuates the coolness of super robots to different generations of collectors.

I like this Maz - but the purists have a right to their opinion too.
Regardless, it keeps the Robot pool fresh.

And if a company makes garbage out of any character, it will still be garbage no matter what. But what is garbage to me, is a Mona Lisa to another... or a Picasso in this figure's case.  }D |

Not my cup of tea but I do appreciate that they think Mazinger is relevant enough to invest in the figure. Shows how much Mazinger is respected.

That whole hip socket area is horrible. There are things I could point out that I don't much like about parts of the the rest of it, but that crotch area is fugly. He should have a bowling ball accessory. And for some reason he makes me want to give him a nickname, like Burt, or Ted. "Burt Mazinger the professional bowling robot", lol. You know what this reminds me of is a lamer version of the Fewture Mazinger designs. I don't think the hips are THAT Bad. they just need to put the actual connection a little higher, then it'd be fine. |

In this case, he beat out Miley Cyrus by a gash!  zozo-mag I love how the original teaser shots were covering up the crotch area and now that we can see the full figure I can see why they did what they did. Who has the widest hips in the galaxy? MAZINGER Z !! |

Well nobody here can categorically say that their opinion is right just because it's their opinion and not somebody elses. No matter how much somebody might like their own opinion, it's still just their own opinion. It's probably best just to settle on saying that we all like our own garbage, and our own opinions are more right than anybody elses right up to the point where we post it on a public message board, at which point it's just another opinion on the garbage heap of opinions.  |

I'm not a purist by any means and I appreciate a well done rendition like what fewture has done to some of the getters. But this Mazinger is just too ugly for me and knowing this thing is gonna be expensive adds to my negative impression of this figure. I love different but it has to look really good for me to appreciate it.

I do agree that it is awesome that they are at least doing an original and attempted fresh design. Even if it is a fail it pushes things forward.
