I wonder what exactly the mod done to head was and if it leaves a hole?

It is a custom job. He created some "device" to attach to the back of the head that apparently is held on by adhesive. It's nice that it makes the horns look like the original, just a shame the "device" is so big.

Thank you for your info, Yes, the 'device' is big, but the horns are cool!

I recall someone doing something similar a few years ago, although not just with tape. You might need to search the web (maybe it was on ToyboxDX if not here).

I remember that too. I believe it was ToyboxDX. Their mod was a bit more invasive in that they cut new angular slots for the horns.

Could simply file or grind a notch on the inner end of the sickles to achieve the look. Of course its irreversible but it would help them stay in better.

This finally arrived today. The ball on the back is attached by double sided tape. It unscrews then the horns (made of 1pc custom fiberglass) goes on then simply screw the cap back on. It also had the original box & horns as well. It's in good shape but not perfect maybe an 8 or 9 but man it looks cool on the shelf!

It looks perfect in the photos, how do you mean 8 or 9? I like it,looks awesome,as far as it being a big attachment,I dont see the problem in that with Jumbos, look at the unsightly weapons like the star thrower on Dragon.Jumbos always have big cumbersome stuff stuck on them.I bet if it was like this from teh factory,it wouldnt even be an issue.
