Volks MH Genealogica?

I was looking online through some Five Star Stories kits and stumbled upon these beauties.  At first I thought they were the typical 1/144 resins, turns out that they're actually prototypes for toys in the vein of RD's:

Apparently, these images came out way back in 2010.  Do any of you guys know if these figures were cancelled?  Wouldn't be too surprising considering how much Nagano is still butthurt over the poor execution of the old Kaiyodo figures. 

Regardless, Volks has been known for extremely long delays (such as their IMS Led Mirage kit, 3 years since the last update), so is it possible that we may finally get a line of good Five Star Stories action figures in due time?

There was a thread in the general section about the volks A3 figures but I don't think anyone knows why we never saw them. They still make the Muv Luv stuff in that line.

Whoops, it turns out these were by Wave, not Volks. That means that they truly are dead forever then. =/

I feel like the only thing stopping us from getting a decent modern FSS toy is Nagano's douchebag handling of the IP. His claims that beauty of his designs could only be captured in resin is completely moot at this point, especially when you have stuff like the 3A Real Steel figures...

I was so excited when those images surfaced back in 2010. I was so ready for high quality, pre-built FSS figures. I'm not at all surprised that the whole thing was canned, though. From my understanding, Nagano is even throwing out all of the original FSS designs and redoing everything (and not for the better) to put it into his Gothic Made universe. It's damned disappointing.

Are those god awful things on the left the new designs? Because my gods how can the designs on the right be so beautiful and hyper detailed and then the guys on the left are so wtf are those? And is FSS getting a new anime or something?

Yes, that's what Nagano is cooking up nowadays. Gothicmade is Nagano's new baby. I guess it actually came out already in 2012? He's been redesigning his FSS stuff and rolling it into GothicMade, it seems.

I think part of the reason he's doing this is because he's just tired of FSS.   In fact, he's now designing stuff for Phantasy Star Online:
