It looks great. A little too thin in relation to the actual anime, but sure looks good. }D

Wait. So is the ZPRO-01 the same as the SMS-01? I'm confused.

Yes, they are one and the same. Z-Pro is exclusive for the European market; while SMS-01 is exclusive for the Asian market.

Oh man, that black version would look really great next to Black SOCs. It's too bad it's limited to 300 pieces.
Anyone know how heavy these Jeegs are?

Thanks, CFF. Yeah, after looking it up some more, I realized that ZPRO-01 = SMS-01 = MSG-01. The Jeeg design has always seemed odd to me, so the fact that this company made a Jeeg that actually looks good--really good--to me is a feat. It's odd that it doesn't seem to be distributed through typical US retailers (BBTS, etc.). Haven't spotted any preorders except via eBay. Wonder why distribution is so limited. Oh, well.

So after seeing the review of the normal-colored version, I went ahead and ordered it off eBay. (Review's here: www.facebook.com/emcorner.it/videos?fref=photo)Definitely the best-looking Jeeg toy I've ever seen. I just hope the toy in hand is as good and solid as it looks.

Thank you for sharing that video! The extra limbs and improved articulation are great, better than CM's Jeeg. When it comes to looks however, I personally prefer CM's Jeeg. To me it's more anime accurate and much better looking. This new Jeeg looks too skinny, has a huge round forehead and a big mouth, leaving very little room for the rest of Jeeg's face. His forehead is too round. Jeeg's forehead should be more triangular. This new Jeeg will sell well either way, I'm sure. It seems to have more playability than the CM version, but I prefer the CM version for display purposes.

It seems to have more playability than the CM version, but I prefer the CM version for display purposes. If I grew up with the cartoon, I'd probably prefer something more anime-accurate. I don't have a connection to the Jeeg 'toon, though, and the design always seemed goofy to me (a chubby super robot cosplaying as a watermelon). The reason I like this version so much is the same reason others don't--the modern, streamlined proportions (and face) take the character further away from its groovier 70s cartoon incarnation. To me, that's a big plus. Anyway, I cancelled my preorder for the Dynamite 20 Jeeg (gift for my bro). He's going to get the Action Toys version along with me. If it ends up sucking, we'll get to be unhappy together. Hopefully, it'll be great. The Hong Kong seller I bought the Jeegs from (I bought the Asian SMS-01 version) said that he already has the toy in stock, but per the manufacturer's orders, he can't ship it until March 20th.

And I am not a big fan of accessories (cause they require too much space). It is also a lot cheaper than CMS, that seems to be a better choice for me.

I have the CM's and the only things that bug me are the Popeye forearms and the clown shoes. Im definitely getting the magnet steel gokin as i like the slimmer proportions better but i dont think will be as sturdy as the CM's. The shoulder ratchet on the CM's was ingenious and holds anything. Either way both will be in my collection

Tony Chi/Chimungmung is based in Hongkong. They pack their shipment properly (at least the times that I have ordered from them). Tony is a real nice guy as well.
