Me and my brother just bought each of us a copy of Neca's ED-209. This thing is awesome for the price and size. It feels a little bit fragile on some small parts but I ain't playing with this so I'm not worried about breaking something. The size is excellent as a display piece and I've heard that NECA is limiting the production of this toy to one run so I had to get myself a copy. I've heard Hot Toys are releasing a 15 inch ED-209 but I'm certain the pricing is way beyond my budget. I'll be posting pics when I have the time since I'm a bit busy. Does anyone else here have a NECA ED-209? This is one of the best iterations of ED-209 at this price range and the $60 I've spent on this figure is worth it.

If I hadn't pre-ordered the Hot Toys version I would probably pick this up. I wasn't happy with the original Hot Toys model Collectible version that came out a couple of years ago for around $200, and since the ebay prices on that version are the same as the Movie Masterpiece Hot Toys version, it was a no brainer for me to pick up the far superior new Movie Masterpiece version.
I really debated on this Neca version and the Hot Toys version because normally I don't care much for movie figures, but ED is such a great robot design that I went for the jumbo.
I think the Neca actually looks pretty good, especially for being not super duper expensive, and honestly the size is so much more practical. Honestly I would prefer a figure the size of the NECA version because they are so much more playable than big ol jumbo figures. I wish the Hot Toys version was the Neca size and that the cost was half as much.

xiombargThe Hot Toys ED-209 had to be big in order to scale with their HT Robocop. I saw the first version of the HT ED-209 and sadly aside from being expensive it wasn't an accurate representation of the robot. I've always loved the original Robocop movie, ED-209 to me was just as badass as the Terminator exoskeleton. He had very little scenes but they were all memorable and he had a very imposing presence on screen. I think for $60 it's cheap enough to be worth a shot and considering that NECA's doing a one time run on this guy I'd definitely try getting one before stocks run out. I have to admit it's not a perfect toy and it has it's shares of qc issues but the the pros outweigh the cons. If I had the money I'd buy both versions since I really love this character. There's actually very, very few renditions of ED-209 and so far the best versions are the NECA ED-209 and the upcoming new version of the HT ED-209.

Nice! The details on the electronics look great.

Nice! The details on the electronics look great. They're also fragile especially the wires. Though I do applaud NECA for going the extra mile of adding these small details. It's a shame that NECA isn't likely gonna do a RoboCain, I didn't like Robocop 2 that much compared to the first but still no one can deny that RoboCain was a very scary villain robot. If NECA does make a RoboCain I'd be getting one without any hesitation.

Is the loose leg a common issue or is it just my luck with this ED-209?

Mine is fine. But while yours seems to have a loose joint, it doesn't look like it will make the figure fall down, right?
