I am surprised there is not a thread on this here. I just preordered and got xboxlive again. Its from a COD developer, has giant robots and monsters. Looks epic. www.titanfall.com/ |

I'm always surprised here, coldiron, but I did talk about it in the "what are you playing now" thread. I didn't know it had monsters though. The beta really hampered my opinion of the game, but I may need to give it another try for sure.

From what I understand there are giant creature npc's wandering around that affect game play and the battle. There are also cloud controlled humans to make the fight more interesting.

"Cloud controlled humans" = AI controlled mindless cannon fodder  The game looks interesting, I'll have to check it out when it comes out for PC. |

I got Titanfall a couple days ago. I like it. The more I play it, the more it grows on me. I just noticed that I think it might be inspired by Megaman X. Imagine a MMX FPS. The movements are like X, plus there is the ride armor. I know its not a copy but there could be some related inspiration in the design.

I am aware that you need a gold subscription to play titanfall. but is there a single player campaign mode available in gold subscription? I regard myself as a lousy game player, and dont wish to mix it up with the big boys in multiplayer.

No there is no campaign. It is only MP. I will say this, it is noob friendly. There are a bunch of AI that plays as well that you battle that goes towards your score. Imagine 5v5 real people, then maybe 100 AI that are robots and grunts. Then throw some giant robots in there now an then. Usually being in the giant robot is what gets you killed. You can call it, and have it fight on its own while you jump on other robots to take them down. It has a story mode they call a campaign, but its just MP with cut scenes.
