Hi guys! I'm thinking of panel lining my next project and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what paint markers to use? I have used Gundam paint markers, they seem ok are there any more recommendations? Also I want the lines to not look too cartooney. The Model will be white, dark blue and medium grey. So what colors should I use on each?
Thanks!

I sometimes use black acrylic paint that comes from a tube and add some water to it, sometimes even black ink used for refilling techpens. The method I use is a "wash" which a very easy way of applying panel lines using a small brush or toothpick. The excess paint or ink can be easily wiped off by regular rubbing alcohol. You can use dark grey if you want a less darker panel lines. I used this method for panel lining all of my master grades like this gundam here.

I am no artist, and I am a novice model builder, to say the least. But I also did not like the Gundam markers for panel lines. I ended up just using a pencil and had much better results. Simple, correctable (i.e., erasable if you stray too far from the area of interest), and can be "smeared" to create some nice effects.

Yep. I'd like the pencil effect as well, that's a great idea especially if the surface is fine-sanded. I'll even bet it would look good on a matte finish.
Washing techniques are also nice as well, as Gravewolf explained. There's always an option for a different approach to every surface, as a matter of one's own personal taste.
For color: Black, if you want it to look extremely bold. Gray, for neutrality between different armor colors. Gray seems to add a better sense of realism than Black. Black kinda makes the model look like a 2D drawing (unless you want to achieve an "anime cell-shade" look.
