More ebay scum

I wont name names or anything like my last rant about bad ebayer but there is a guy on ebay that really earks me. Never did me wrong personally actually bought my golion off me for 1200.00 and he needed it fast now know why. I buy through yahoo japan a lot and Im looking at some stuff sitting under 100 bucks right now. I go on ebay and there they are the exact same pics from yahoo japan so I confront the guy ask for pics. He says he cant he is out of town but has the items at home, I told him he was full of it and i knew the seller of the items in japan. He used to do this and say his items were in a storage in japan and he was in the us. What really earks me is he has these items for sale at 1000 dollars and higher and doesnt even have posession of them so he waits for you to bid on the auction then buys the stuff from yahoo unless someone else outbids him. This can really mess with the prices going up on yahoo japan. Im up to mess with this guy and buy his ebay auction and outbid him on yahoo just to see what he does. Granted I just sold a very mint popy golion for 2200.00 outside of ebay. I also had it listed on ebay which was also receiving bids at that price but I own the thing I used my own personal money to buy it a year ago. I cant believe this guy tells me he has the items at home and hes out of town so he cant send pics. I crown him Douche of the week!!!

PS don't buy the popy single box set or stuff he has up, its for sale elsewhere for pennies on the dollar,, but im not naming names of course!!

Man I couldn't contain myself.I had to say something Why does this piss me off so bad. I buy items expensive items. I sat on three popy golions just to find the perfect one and recently I have had to sell all three and made a little money not a lot but about a grand between the three over a 6 month period. I thought I was keeping the last one but couldnt. Granted I've sat on them for a year in my collection with no intent to sell unless I needed the money which has been the case lately. What gets me is how he claims to have these items so you will buy them. Then he bids accoridingly on yahoo and uses your money to purchse the items. The stuff he has is junk grade for prices I have sold mint in box golions and he is taking advantage of new collectors that see a popy and will pay anything. GRRRRRRR oh yeah he lives in 29 palms probably a marine and very close to me grrrrrr again... so I wrote him this


Hey man you know something I sold you a golion a while back but your business practices are pissing me off. You are lying about having items you don't possess and using peoples photos without their consent which is fraudulaunt at the least. I am an honest buyer and seller and I use yahoo japan to purchase for my own collection using my own money and if I need money down the road and I have to sell I know I will be ok because I got a good deal out of japan. What you are doing here is selling an item and based on the sale here you bid accordingly there with someone elses money. This can raise our bids on yahoo japan which is kinda sac religious amongst collectors to do. We go to Yahoo Japan for good deals for our collection not as a tool to hussle new collectors out of money they wouldn't spend once they knew better. Why dont you buy the item first then resell it and be honest. I've got enough collector friends with deep enough pockets to win your auction here and outbid you over there then what will you do. Like I said I sold you a nice golion that I didn't' make any money on at an honest and fair price. it was 100 percent complete and way less than your asking on what is pretty much as shady as it gets for collectors. I really hope I don' t know you on one of the forums I belong to I'd hate to find out it was someone I talk to daily. Regardless your practices will be reported to ebay if they think its ok well be as shady as you want but don't ever try to buy another piece from me!! I knew something was up when you bought my piece and then I saw your auctions for items on yahoo japan stating your stuff was in storage in japan and you were telling me how you need mine in a hurry. Did your hustle get you in a pickle.. It has now!! Im spreading the word with the collectors this will not fly with us.

Thanks sir! I'm glad you brought this up, since some new seller seems to go down this road every year, and it gets noticed among the diehards.

But sorry it caused you aggravation, I HATE that, when now matter how calm I try to just be, I'm still tossin' and turnin' with the frustration, and have to vent.
When it's someone you've dealt wtih personally, that's when it bugs you more!

I appreciate that you take the stance of "buisness is buisness" when it comes to any of us selling something, we have to keep calm when someone buys ours and flips it, since we let it go, but it does hurt a bit.
Totally different when you see the sell/buy/sell hustle happening, or someone flat out stalls you when they should be just shipping it out, but don't have it, or just trying to hold onto your money.
There's a "dx-chogokin-king" seller in CA, who comes and goes on ebay every few years, and seems to have sorta straightened out his act, but went through a few rounds of REALLY pissing folks off.

Off note a bit, but I remember some doofus running info-mercials selling a special "system" of buying and selling cars for big profit, with no money layout, and it was likely the same idea here.

Oh, and yeah, PM we anytime you're in the mood to deluge a shady seller with hassles, I'll do what I can!

I think he got the msg, the sales were pulled. It's one thing to do what he do res and be honest or dodge the truth a bit which still is shady hut thus is the msg he sent me when I asked for more pics. I lived messing with this guy he deserved it.

Hi thank you for your interest. I am currently on a business trip in japan and have picked these up. I have sent them to my home via mail and will not be back for another week to the states.

This is the first time I ever heard of such a shady practice:
buying an item from a collector at a discounted price,
and then immediately reselling it for a huge profit.
He didn't have his own item in stock, therefore he basically used
you as his "inventory supplier" and pressured you
into selling your item to him asap so that he could cover his azz
meeting a shipping deadline for a customer who
paid him outrageous amounts of money for that same item. 
He scalped you like a concert ticket.

That's a cutthroat thing to do to collectors.
He should be publicly called out on it so that everyone in
the collectors community can avoid doing business with him
before they get cutthroat as well.

Shady sellers like Him are all over the world...
they will sign up and join Collectors' forums in bold attempts to
seek out "suckers" in this market. 
Those vendors look for serious Collectors who have cash to burn...
...where else to look for such gullible collectors but here
in these Collector forums.

And, of course, eBay isn't helping the community any better...
example: nowadays only Positive feedback
is shown on an eBay seller's profile page. 
The seller could be a thief with 70 or 80% Negative feedback
and you would never know it, because eBay no longer
shows Negative feedback left by unhappy customers.

When I shop on eBay, I have to be on my guard and know when to
escape when things start looking shady.
If I wanna know a seller's reputation, all I have to do is look at
the Positive Feedback list and pick several customers by name and email them...
I would ask them questions about the seller, before I commit to
any transactions. 
I cannot think of any other safer way to handle it.

Yeah he's a dirty bag of you know ..lol This whole deal got me thinking about collectors in this community and trying to do something that we as a community can all get behind. Watching this guy taking advantage of new collectors made me at want to start a company that would belong to everyone in our community an. Ive had the idea for quite some time but thought it too complicated to even approach it. This guy made me realize it was better that I said something than nothing. Anyway check the other thread for more info and i want yours too...I just want to get the word out among any and all forums.

Such dirty tricks are not new, when i was selling some stuff on ebay, some local guy came and lowball me, told me he was searching on behalf of a "friend", eventually we settle for a heavily discounted price. Can tell from his feedback that he's a seller as well, and clearly he bought it to flip, a common tell tale sign is these fellas will not give you a feedback at all, presumably to cover their tracks.
