Hi, I'm a newbie with collecting robots and am on the fence as to which version of Gaiking to purchase. I've read most of the posts on it but still am on the fence: which is better to fit into a SOC collection. I see the merits of both but really can't afford the GX-27( which seems to have some leg issues). Any experiential information would be greatly appreciated.

u just said "to fit into SOC collection", that alone justifies the purchase of the same line, SOC GX-27. but if u dont have problems with no diecast robots, ull probably better off with Dynamite Toys.

Yeah. The GE-10 Gaiking is a pretty awesome figure. Wayyyyy better that the Evolution Toy versions. The GX-27 has more accessories than the GE-10, but you need to realize that the GE-10 and GX-27 Gaikings are different characters. Yeah, they are both named Gaiking, but their origins and stories are totally different.

They are different Gaikings, you should get the GE-10 as well. It's like comparing the Evolution Toy "Old-Model" version Kotetsu Jeeg to the new one they displayed recently. Both are Kotetsu Jeegs, but they are different. }D
