Lol, just when you thought the repaints had run their course. Taghobby LinkComes with Koji Figurine now. I still prefer my Black Wing version though. If they reissued that with red wings, then I bet that would sell like gangbusters. Gold

Can I assume that this figure is essentially inferior in every way to the SRC? No. They are apples and elephants. Not even really comparable. The Aoshima is a big, glorious brick. Huge figure with a ton of shelf presence but nowhere near the play-ability of the SRC

If the price is right, I'll get it. My Black Wing Version has chrome limbs, but dark blue fists and lower legs. I can't stand that color scheme.

The Aoshima is the actual Mazinkaiser from the 2001 OVA. The Bandai SRC is some sort of hybrid, with no true manga or anime origin. I agree with actionawesome, the Aoshima is a must have for Mazinkaiser fans. A TRUE 100% CHOGOKIN!!! But at the end, the only thing that should matter (to you alone), is whatever makes you happy. }D

For me all posability is ,is to make a static pose more appealing. The aoshima poses well, and doesnt need a ton of articulation to look KILLER in a standard pose. After all these figures dont move on their own,or do exercises,so if it can look great in a certain pose, the sculpt is what counts most.A super poseable ugly robot is useless,if it looks good in any pose is what counts, its not like it does cartwheels in your detolf.Articulation is fun for the first ten minutes, but Im not going to pose my robots in pretzels on display..so ... that is why Aoshima is better, presence, pose, sculpt, anime accuracy.

I just put a bid for The Aoshima Shin Devil Wing. According to the seller, wing not solidly staying in is well known issue. is that true?

I got the Max Factory version last year. I still might get this one, depending on the colour scheme and the price.

I think the last Mazinkaiser I saw was selling roughly $300+.
I just realized, it comes with 2 swords now?

I just realized, it comes with 2 swords now? Should come with three But yeah, the reason I went with the MF; the accessories. It always bugged me that you couldn't get Aoshima Mazinkaiser with chrome limbs, red wings AND two swords (or was it just chrome limbs and red wings? I can't remember), but at this point, the lack of chrome thighs doesn't really bother me as much as the lack of the swords that come out of the shoulders, but then, it didn't have them in the OVA...but what bugs me most is the hideous giant peg on the Kaiser Scrander. The one on the MF was a lot more modest, although it does have some problems actually saying on as a result...but at least the MF came with a nice big stand to hang it on when not attached Any word on the release date?
