Hi,
I was hoping somebody could recommend a good first airbrush set. Nothing too expensive so that I won't feel so bad if it doesn't work out lol. I've seen sets on eBay and amazon but I'm not sure what's a good brand or not. Any help would be appreciated.

from my experience. i had badger, quite expensive since its made in USA and im from indonesia. it was really good, but the down side in my country the spare part has depleted. so if the things goes broken i must buy overseas, and not all Asian region compressor not quite fit in badger, you have to cut the pipe and snap it force in the pen.
so my advice: look for brand that has spare part in your country and service center. buy as a set with compressor price dont lies, you get what you pay. its the man behind the gun after all ;D

Hobby Lobby carries some cheap to higher end airbrushes. I like to use their 40% coupon, and could see how the prices pan out compared to buying online or somewhere else. I got an older Testors (now Aztek) double action air brush when I did more model building about 15 years ago.

I think it is always best to buy a separate compressor because the quality seems like one offered in a package would be sub-par at best. There are some great micro scale compressors (not the exact name but they fit on a desktop and don't take up space) that I think would be good. Also, there is an airbrush brand that has a lifetime warranty, I will try to remember the name.
