The MC double-Maz kit was the one I was referring to. And that way I can also have an MC Great Mazinger to go with my MC Maz. But, yes, if your kit is primarily intended for the GX-07, then I'll get a GX-07. Wouldn't hurt me to get two GX-07s. After all, I may as well form a "canon" timeline display for the Mazinger anime shows with these figures; even if it means having so many Mazingers on my shelf. lol zozo-mag Wow Magengar 2 GX-07s! If your serious they have 2 right now at AE and one is the special edition,Id get them now or your not gonna find them very cheap.Go on ahead my friend! It's just a thought. But, yes, I would have to get two GX-07s to complete that particular timeline era... one would become Ash-Maz, and the other would remain as the kaiser OVA version Maz. I'm not ready to splurge yet. My ten-day break from work during the restaurant shut-down had put me behind on bills and I need to catch up as it's my priority right now. zozo-mag

All parts arrived neatly packaged and they all seem to be ok. I just need to do a fitting test to ensure all parts fit properly and if needed, adjust the CAD design. The pony tail works wonderfully! it bends in a very organic way. I have my hands full this week with another project but expect full info by Tuesday of next week or sooner.

Did some fitting tests last night and everything seems to be working correctly. The head pilder fits nicely and the evil pony tail is SUPER flexible and dynamic. I have yet to see a Bandai toy that has that level of flexibility! the neck brace was my biggest concern and I have to say I am happy with the results. The part curled a bit during processing but once you apply glue and press it against the neck, it should go down with no problems. Plus I managed to keep the profile to the minimum. I didn't want the neck to disappear under the neck brace, kind of like the neck and half the face of black Getter disappears under the scarf.
I also tested the shackles for the figure and they look SOOOOO much better than just a few pieces of styrene wrapped around the limbs. A few are 1/10th of a millimeter too big or too small but some light sanding with a 240 piece of sand paper and they should fit nicely!
The breast plates came back with crisp detail and the eyes are easy to see and paint for those who want to undergo that route.
Overall, this kit blows my previous 2 customs out of the water! they now look like crap compared to the new kit.
My favorite part has to be the Spider pilder!!!!!!! It looks soooooo cool and life like! I placed it on the kitchen countertop last night and when my mom saw it she screamed her lungs out. Even after I explained what it was she told me to "get that thing away from her" Ha Ha!
I need to update the file and reupload it to shapeways with just a few slight mods to take it from 99% to 100% I'll let you guys know when it's ready to purchase. Probably in 2 or 3 days just to be sure

I just had an idea for the breast plate. Rather than making some breast plates with a slightly extruded eye design. I am going with breast plate with a negative space where the eye goes. By breaking the breast plate in 3 parts, you can paint the breast plate red, the eye yellow and the inside of the eye green ALL as separate parts and then just sandwich them all together for a seamless effect with very sharp paint lines. See the pic for an idea of what I am saying

Are you here in the U.S.? If yes, you could copy your video onto a USB flash drive and plug the flash drive into a public computer at your local public library and from there upload it to YouTube (depending on how much internet time they allow you-- typically 1 hour)... ...the library usually has fast internet connection speeds and all their computers are connected to their server via cable or Ethernet. They also have free WiFi, so even if you copy your video to a portable laptop, net-book, or a mobile pad, you could still log your device on to their WiFi network without any access key, and benefit from the connection speed at the library all day long while you're sharing your video here. Back on topic..... your upgrade kit looks so BADASS!!! I can also see why your mom reacted to that Spider Pilder... the black material looks fuzzy on its textured surface, making it look like a real hairy spider! Reminds me of a childhood joke, about a kid and his mom and a tarantula, the joke was popular in Puerto Rico known as "La Araña Peluda" (The Hairy Spider) ... but it is a risque joke. lol Your idea about splitting the chest-plate into separate parts is genius, that way those parts can be painted separately before putting them together. Overall, your project nails the Ashura Mazinger character right On Point when you apply it to the GX-07! By the way, in case you wonder how I resized your images in the quote-- I did it to save page space when I quoted you. Those images can still be seen in their default size-- place your mouse on each one and right-click "View Image" and you'll see the image in its original size. zozo-mag
