Hi
Just got the new Giant Godzilla.
Has anyone noticed that there is a place for a speaker on the lower torso?
Also a place for a battery box where the tail connects?
Would love to find out if there will be another version out there that roars!
Or maybe they ran out of time for the production schedule.
The sculpt is really cool and I like the use of the semi rigid rubber.
I think my only complaint would be the head seems too small for the body.
Like a cross between Godzilla and a snapping turtle.

Netkid and I have talked about this greatly. We suspect it was cut at the last second because they rushed all the toys and they really needed more money or time to put them in, (remember the fiasco about all these toys in the line being behind closed doors at toy fair, only for us to find out how poor they really are? - except maybe this one), or price point was too high with electronics, and/or a US retailer or Japanese exclusive version will come out with full electronics sometime in the future, like what happened with the 31" Darth Vader - there is an alternate version with sound, lights, and an alternate hand with a lightsaber (Costco).

I'm actually happy with the one I got. I wouldn't have room for another. I am kind of curious to see what they do with him though.

I've read past news online that some toy stores
got b*tched for releasing the Godzilla 2014 toys "too soon".
I'm not too crazy about these toys except for the buildings
in the destruction play-sets. lol

I'm actually happy with the one I got. I wouldn't have room for another. I am kind of curious to see what they do with him though. I'm still trying to figure where he going to live, with that long tail. |

He took up almost half of one of my shelves! Good thing I only have Rodan and the Toho Godzilla on there with him. I had plans for Jumbosaurous on there also, but it may be too tight of a fit and will look cluttered. I guess we'll see what happens if I find one.

Got mine back in March to go with the Mattel and Popy ones. Still haven't taken it out of the box though.

I think that he is awesome, but I have no idea where to put him. Right now he is standing guard next to my basement door. Makes my wife jump every tie she turns on the light. (it's awesomely funny every time)

That is the smaller one.. 24" *long* and 12" tall.
Might be worth looking to see though if the battery box and sound electronics can be taken out of it an moved over the the bigger one.
